Rebuilt Used Corny Keg - Ball Lock 5 gal.

Rebuilt Used Corny Keg - Ball Lock 5 gal.

Item currently out of stock

These are reconditioned 5-gallon capacity, ball lock corny kegs with rubber tops and bottoms (color may vary).

The interior and exterior of these corny kegs are washed and rinsed and all gaskets are replaced to ensure that no soda flavor or residue is left behind. We are one of the only suppliers to do this. We do not replace relief valves or poppets, however these can be purchased separately via part numbers KEG540 and KEG450.

Corny kegs are pressure tested and are guaranteed to be holding pressure upon delivery. If they are not holding pressure, please notify us as soon as possible.

All kegs are used and have cosmetic blemishes, i.e. minor scratches, dings and stickers. These blemishes will not affect the functionality of the corny kegs.

Body connects should be removed for cleaning and sanitizing before every use. Soda kegs may come with either 11/16 inch body connects or 7/8 inch body connects. We sell deep sockets for the removal of either one (Part numbers KEG991 and KEG992.  We suggest purchasing both if you do not have these at home.

Ball lock corny kegs are approximately 8.5" Diam. x 25" Height. 26 1/4" Height with Flare fittings. Measurements may vary slightly.

It's a keg
Required a bit of scrub, but held pressure and was in fairly good condition. Would recommend.

Keg will work, not in great shape. Have seen better refurbished kegs.
I’ve ordered refurbished kegs in better shape from other companies. The keg will work just not as in great shape as others.

Dirty and Carless
These were supposed to arrive clean and holding pressure. Both were dirty on the interior and exterior. (What's a dead spider inside a keg between friends, eh?) And only one held pressure. I had to replace a PRV on the other to get it to hold pressure. The description says these are guaranteed to hold pressure yet PRV's are not replaced. Well, which is it? I'm entirely unsatisfied with the pile of horse pucky I received. And the cherry on top? I got an automated email asking me to do this review before I've received a reply about the problems I've incurred.

Obviously is a used keg, but when it arrived all the ouside and inside had mold on it, nothing that a good scrub will not get rid off, but spent quite some time cleaning it, also the dip tube was stuck and had to battle it until it gave up, the dip tube lip got destroyed in the process, luckily I had a replacement for it.

Arrived as expected
1 star deducted for the gasket. I think it may be silicon? Whatever it is, it's "floppy" and slippery (especially with some lube) so it takes just a smidgen of care to make sure the seal doesn't kinda ride off the lid. It's ard to explain but the old rubber gaskets were superior in my humble opinion.

Filthy and gaskets don't look to be replaced
Certainly wasn't cleaned and reconditioned as the description says. Looks like it was used during WWII. Very dissatisfied. I guess I'll see if it leaks.
