If you have an average size kegerator and order a German per keg (Paulaner) you will need an "A" keg coupler and a low profile elbow to tap your keg.

Is this suitable for an A-type 5/8" coupler? Thanks!
Aldo A. Fierro on Mar 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This is standard beer thread. Should fit any commercial coupler or shank.
Should I use teflon tape on the male threads on the couplers and elbow?
Brian S on Sep 4, 2022
BEST ANSWER: No need to. You’ll use coupler / tailpiece gaskets (D1755) to seal off any leaks.

Works as it should. Now if you could make it swivel, then it would be even better!

Works as described - tailpiece gasket included.
Ordered to allow use of ball lock couplers with clearance inside keg fridge.
Note that a tailpiece gasket was included already inserted in the female side of the elbow (not shown in picture on website).

Perfect if you have corny adapters on a sankey coupler
I use a sankey coupler with pin-lock fitting adapters on the gas and product line so I can switch between commerical and homebrew kegs, and the product line was always cramped against the ceiling of the kegerator. I put one of these on the product line and the adapter right after it and I magically have an extra 3 inches of room above the keg. Simple solution that works great.

Great piece. I'm using it to connect a tap extender rod to my corney keg, which requires the 90 degree angle that this provides.

The only way to go when you have a low overhead room. You don't want to pinch your beer line!

Excellent product. I needed to fit a 50L German keg into my kegerator with next to no vertical clearance. This elbow only needs about 5/8” clear between the top of the coupler and the roof of the Kegerator. Worked like a charm. As a reference: my kegerator is 27 3/4” clear height inside. With this elbow and a 50L German keg, it just barely fits (it needed a little encouragement!)

Excellent
I converted a low profile perlick sankey coupler to ball lock, but it was now too wide for 5.25 gal kegs. So I used these to keep the ball lock posts vertical, so it now fits all commercial kegs, without needing the normal coupler head space in my keezer.
Elbow bends make it perfect for all commercial keg sizes
