BEST ANSWER: I don't think so. The end is a barb fitting - I just jam beer line hose on the end and add a hose clamp.

YES-ish. :) With the help of Doug Slakey (see his answers below) we were able to figure out a DIY Rebuild Kit. There are two o-rings & one seal that will eventually need replaced. I'll describe them & their placement with the size of o-ring you will need for each. You can source these in the usual places.

O-Ring #1 - This is a VERY soft white silicone o-ring that slides onto the push rod and seats inside the knurled, threaded end piece. I did not replace this with a white silicone o-ring. Instead I used a medium hard buna-n o-ring sized at 5.6mm ID x 10.4mm OD x 2.4mm Width. (Part No. 9262K215)

O-Ring #2 - This is a buna-n o-ring that goes on the knurled, threaded end cap. This creates the seal between the actual gun & the end cap. This o-ring is a medium hard buna-n o-ring sized at 9mm ID x 14mm OD x 2.5mm Width. (Part No. 9262K425)

Seal - This was the most difficult item to source. At the end of the threaded rod, this white silicone seal is what actually keeps beer from coming out of the tip of the gun. It is a uniquely shaped seal. We could not for the life of us figure out a place to find a replacement. However, I was able to find an o-ring that works really well. It's not a 1-1 replacement but it seals and holds pressure (tested to 60psi). This o-ring is a medium hard buna-n o-ring sized at 3mm ID x 9mm OD x 3mm Width. (Part No. 1302N495)

Sorry to report that there is a rebuild kit but you can't have it unless you live in Australia. The beverage gun is built and sold by the builder of the monarch of kegs in Australia. I called them up to get a rebuild kit to replace one of the o-rings that I lost in cleaning. They were very nice but said that they couldn't send me the rebuild kit because they don't ship to the US. I did find the o-rings on the longest river in Brazil that replace my lost o-ring. In case you are looking for replacement o-rings, here are the sizes: 10mm OD 2mm width silicone o-ring and 14mm OD 2.5mm width nitrile rubber o-ring. The smaller one fits the rod that has the spring; the larger one seals the knurled ring to the body of the gun. Hope this helps!

This is helpful. I'm wondering why my measurements are so different from your as it relates to the smaller o-ring that fits on the rod with the spring. I ordered from Grainer and have that o-ring sized at 5.6mm x 2.4mm. (Item number 1RJE7). Let me know what you see. Also, any idea where to source replacements for the silicone seals on the very front of the unit? The part that actually seals into the tip of the pluto gun?

I looked around for that part at the end of the rod but couldn't find it, partly because I'm not sure what it's called. I would appreciate it if you manage to find something that works. As far as the o-ring, I don't think the diameter matters that much since it stretches over the rod - smaller may be better. The ring diameter probably matters more, so that you get a tight fit around the rod.

Yep. I was told no as well. There are definitely proprietary parts in these. The big issue for me has been the final o-ring that seals where the Pluto gun back threads into the actual "gun" part. There's a tiny silicone o-ring that gets shredded easily. It's soft. I actually just Monday ordered some o-rings from Grainger. I haven't picked them up yet so don't know if they'll fit. The other part that may be a bit more difficult is the sealing silicone nub that gets pressed into the internal front of the gun part. It's not an o-ring but a shaped piece of hard silicone. That would be tougher to replace.

Like all things with O-rings, a bit of studying and extra parts ordering are needed. The Stainless version is hell-bent for stout. I’ve seen Kegland video where the presenter threw a plastic version in the street to get ran over... these things will only need O-rings after much use

That is a good question; I do not see that kits are available [from the Morebeer website]. I would buy it anyway and ask later if rebuild parts are available.

What size tubing ID would I need to attach to the dispensing end of this to fill up a growler?

BEST ANSWER: I use a piece of 1/2" ID silicone tubing. You have to squeeze it on, but it's not difficult & is nice & secure. For filling bottles though...that's a little more difficult. I use the 1/2" ID silicone & then put a smaller diameter (I think 3/8" OD) piece of tubing inside the silicone. That way I can get it in the neck & all the way to the bottom of the bottle. The neck opening of a bottle is obviously a bit smaller than the opening on a growler though.

I used the Ultra Barrier Silver™ Antimicrobial and PVC Free Beer Tubing - (3/16 in ID). I use it as a low pressure topping gun for my wine barrels and just press fit it on (no clamps) easy to put on and take off.

What is the adjustment nut at end for? No instructions came with it.

BEST ANSWER: The nut on the back end is to control the distance the trigger moves when opening the faucet as a means of flow control. The farther back the nut is the faster it will flow. This is especially handy on the go with a mobile draft system when the pressure and temperature will vary a lot.

foamed like crazy.

I tried to use this as a growler filler by attaching the nozzle to piece of tubing with some 1/2" high temp silicone tubing. it foamed like crazy. even with 8 feet of 1/4 of ultra beverage tubing, and trying to adjust flow on the nossle. it also didn't workd for filling glasses. I was not impressed.

Works Great! Better serving experience for your guests.

The plastic picnic taps have an unacceptable possibility of breaking with no warning. It is not a good impression for you when it happens while a friend is pouring one of your beers. The Pluto guns have never failed me and they are fun to use.

Use it like a moveable tap

Works great and feel much more confident that the Pluto Beer Gun won’t leak as picnic taps are prone to do. I use it to sample my kegs to make sure they are ready to be connected to the tap faucets (hate cleaning a tap faucet) after pulling only one beer because it needs more time to properly mature before sharing)

Use the Pluto Beer Gun like a moveable beer tap so you can sample maturing beer kegs before tapping.

The “Wee Heavy” looks and smells fantastic, but because it was barrel-aged, needs a bit more time.

A Guilty Pleasure

I am using my re-purposed wine cooler to store my small kegs (I couldn't justify buying a kegerator) and have been using the picnic tap that came with the keg kits to dispense beer into the glass. It worked okay but I have been wondering if there wasn't something better out there. Well, there is and this is it. The picnic tap works fine and both the tap and this beverage gun do a fine job of dispensing beer into the glass. However, this expensive piece of solid stainless steel still seems like a huge upgrade. It feels great in the hand, with a nice heft and surface finish. It comes apart easily for cleaning. But what can I say - if you can get past the price, you'll be holding a great piece of equipment in your hand that rewards your spendthrift ways every time you pour a beer.

The one option you get with the beer gun is that you can submerge the tip in the rising beer in the glass. This cuts down on foam generation as the beer fills the glass. much nicer looking and feeling than a party tap. I'll probably buy one of the plastic ones too, as they are cheaper.
side note, the end will not fit a standard bottle filler, so if you are like me and have always bottled with a filler wand and party tap you will need to figure something else out.
