Description

10% concentration. Phosphoric acid is said to be tasteless while lactic in large quantities can potentially leave flavor. Being a lower conentration than the Lactic, it is slower to change the pH of your water and therefore more forgiving to use.

I see no label on the bottle. Dose this come with instructions?
fletcher l on Jan 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The bottle does come with a printed label that has the product information. The dosage rate will vary based on your application and water profile.
I ordered this and when it arrived there was no seal under the cap. Is this normal?

Not reliable
I couldn't understand why my larger batch (15G+) mashes had such high pH. I bought some 75% phosphoric acid and started using it, and all my pH problems were resolved.

Good, neutral-flavored acid
My favorite acid to lower pH, because it has no noticeable residual taste.

Reduces PH with no flavor impact
I like to use Phosphoric acid to reduce the PH of my strike water. Easy to measure and I don’t have little powder piles in the bottom of the kettle.

lower the ph of your water
I started using this a couple of years ago. It (along with cal chl and a few other additions) makes it easy to hit the ph in the mash. Any mash, not just the dark beers.

Sadly this is the largest size bottle
Seems strange that you can order 100 of them, but not in a single bottle larger than this.

Easier than Latic acid
Instead of the 88% Latic acid the 10% acid enabled me to dial in my mash ph to within .03, I be happy
