Good Product
Product is not good for detailed measures but works great to see if you are in the ball park.

Good first step into checking pH
I thought this was a great way to start seeing if I was in the right ballpark for mash pH when I started in All-Grain with 1-gallon batches. It's a good economical choice if you're starting out.

Narrow range
Only useful for seeing if you are grossly off. They read 0.3 off, and lighting and timing will change what you think the reading is.

Cheap but narrow range
Works in a limited range and not precise.

Not worth it....
Yes, they are cheap but I don't think they are worth the paper they are printed on. Almost impossible to read. I used them a couple of time and threw the rest in the garbage. The colorphast strips, while more expensive, actually work very well and get the job done. I'd suggest saving your money and purchasing the colorphast strips instead.

A very coarse measure of pH
(For use in checking mash pH)
These strips are really only useful if you have no clue what your mash pH is and want to see if you are somewhat close to ideal. The colorwheel only delineates half degrees, so it can only give you a rough measure. However, if you have no idea about your mash pH then this is a fine intro product. The plus is that these strips are incredibly cheap.
