Description

  • PCO38 threaded tapping head pairs perfectly with Oxebar Mono PET Kegs for a lightweight, affordable draft dispensing system
  • Dip tube features a filter attachment to keep solids in the keg and out of your glass
  • Includes liquid and gas ball lock posts and pull-ring PRV rated to 36 psi

This handy PCO38 Tapping Head assembly is a great way to get into kegging. Using standard homebrew ball lock disconnects, this is a convenient, light weight, robust and inexpensive solution to kegging beer, cocktails, kombucha, wine, and other beverages.

This PCO38 tapping head assembly has been designed to suit standard PCO38 bottle necks such as the 4L or 8L Oxebar Mono PET Keg. KegLand utilizes quality engineering plastics and efficient injection stretch blow mould processes to manufacture economical kegs and tapping heads for both homebrewing and commercial beers. The plastics used in the tapping head can withstand a wide range of chemicals used in the brewing industry and relatively high temperatures (212°F / 100°C).

The Ball Lock Tapping Head kit comes with 2.5 BAR (36 psi) PRV, liquid and gas ball lock posts, and dip tube with filter attachment.

KegLand Part Number: KL27144

NOTE: The Oxebar Mono Keg shown in the example photos is sold separately.

Any advice on getting these not to leak? No matter what I do I'm still getting a leak around the pressure relief valve piece where it screws into the main head. I've tightened it slowly to get it to stop but it still hisses. Pulling my hair out trying to get this to stop leaking.
Stephen Gabriel on Feb 20, 2023
BEST ANSWER: One thing you could try is to completely unscrew the PRV and see if there is anything like a burr or some hops or grain preventing a good seal, sometimes, the little poppet valve o-ring is not installed properly and this could be the culprit. If I where you I’d try to swap that pressure relief valve with one from another keg, to see if it solves the problem.
Does the dip tube and filter that come with this float? Or do they just sit at the bottom?
Stephen Gabriel on Jan 16, 2023
BEST ANSWER: No, the dip tube and filter do not float. I’m assuming you could swap out included dip tube for float dip tub. The included dip tube is pretty rigid.
Could you force carbonate your Homebrew with this?

BEST ANSWER: I will add an extra comment that's needed per my experience, and needs to be addressed by kegland. I own three of these now, and they all leak when they are first assembled. always use plumbers tape to seal threads. IMO the only way to get it right the first time is shear luck of not over or under tightening. Once I used plumbers tape all leaks were fixed. So, yes it can be forced carbed but make sure it passes a a leak test prior to filling kegs

Leaks gas on the relieve valve
I tried using plumbers tape and keg lube to seal this issue but still leaks after a while, replaced the whole thing and it also leaks gas, changed to another RV and still leaks, the reason I still give it 3 stars is because I use it as a counter pressure filler for the oxebar keg, for dispensing this is not an option

Nice gift
I bought these as a gift. My son was very excited to start using them! I selected 4 stars based on his opinion, I have no idea how well they work.

Excellent Head for the Oxebar plastic keg
I like the idea of serving my home-brew from the Oxebar Keg without exposure of oxygen.
