How many ounce of hops will each container hold? And does the grain have to be in a bag, or can it be loose?
Kurt Dubendorf on Feb 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: A little over one ounce. The grain must be in the bag or it will stop up the system. This is a brew in the bag machine.
This system is complete and may be using for beginners and experienced ? When be available?

The best machine out there? I thinks so!
I've had my Brewie since December, and I must say I love it. I've been brewing beer at home for ages, and since my kids were born I've had little time to brew with my original setup, so I decided to invest in this awesome machine in order to save time on the brewing process. I just start the machine then I do chores around the house or play with the little ones while Brewie takes care of the rest. And I must say I was skeptical at first but the beer that I brewed was exceptionally good tasting. I hope that one day I can teach my son how to brew with this machine. He' only 3, so I'll have to wait a bit though :)

I love the way it works
I’m proudly owning this beauty since last September. Recently I’ve brewed 5-10 times - it’s very easy to set the machine and during brewing, I can do literally what I want because it doesn’t need my presence.

When they say automatic thats what they mean. Once you push start you no longer have control of anything. If there is a power glitch or fluctuation, you cannot recover the auto process. Ruined a entire batch of grain & wort. Instructions are next to worthless. Website promises stuff they do not deliver. I think this machine has great potential but right now it needs help. Would not recommend a novice purchase it. I have to keep my manual stuff around in case of power failures or glitches.

Had some issues, but I'm satisfied with the end result
I've had my Brewie for quite a while now, but only got around to brewing about two months ago. Work-related trips had me out of the house all summer, but once I was home I immediately turned my attention to my brand new beer brewing machine. I must confess, I?m a beginner in brewing, but an expert in consuming beer. _ But I always wanted to try my hand at brewing and after extensive research, I arrived at the conclusion that Brewer would be the perfect machine for me. Anyhow, to make a long story short: I followed the instructions, which were fairly easy to do and straightforward and brewed a Rusty Rex for my drinking pleasure. It came out with an OG of 1.050, spot on (according to their recipe), and as it turns out, my friends can smell craft beer from miles away and flocked to my garage to taste what I made.
Now onto my personal opinions regarding the machine and the company:
As I wrote, the machine is easy to use, and the fact that it cleans itself is pretty neat. Their website contains tons of useful information for beginners, and the beginner's guide tells you everything you need to know. The app is sorely missing, but one can manage without it, but it will be a great addition for sure.
The setup and calibration process took me a while because the scale I had wasn?t measuring properly and at first I poured less water into the tank then was asked for. But you only need to do it once to start brewing. Plus, the feeling you get when you drink the beer you made yourself is priceless in my opinion. I have a garage where I do my brewing and I recommend you set up a separate space from your living area that has a water pipe to start brewing.
The machine itself is gorgeous, I really like the simple aesthetics of it. It?s definitely the centerpiece of my garage now. I have it set up on a table with wheels on its legs so I can move it around more easily.
The guys at the Brewie were extremely helpful, though it took me a while to get in touch with them. I was angry at first, but the people there were really helpful once we started communicating and they assuaged all my trepidations, but I still had to wait a long time for my Brewie to get here, which was frustrating, but in the end, it was worth it. I?d like to give a shout out to all the people who work there at customer support, they're great guys.
I?m looking forward to trying many more pads and beers from them. All in all, I think it?s worth it to buy this machine if you?re a beer enthusiast like myself.

Good but can become Great Brewer
I have had this machine for a couple months and while this company has some speed bumps during its early phases. I love brewing beer and I love technology. I still love to brew beer through my old hands on process but when I have things to do this machine has allowed me to brew a nice home-brew from my own recipe. Its ability to use a smart phone or pad had not materialized yet. When this happens it will be a more user friendly machine with the recipe creator than it is right now. The company at first was very poor with communications but more so, I believe because it did not want to provide news of set backs that cause us early backers to wait longer than promised (over a year). That being said, I reported a bug in the recipe creator that would not allow imperial values to be saved, defaulting hop amounts to 1oz regardless of actual value inserted in the recipe. I videoed the process sent it to Adam, a rep for the company (Awesome guy!), he forwarded the info to IT and within 1 week an update was provided to correct the problem. The machine works and what I like most offer the zymatic is 5 gallons of beer vs 2.5. Zymatic's software is much more mature than the brewie's and that presently makes the zymatic more enjoyable and easier to use. However, the Brewie has grown fast and its communication with its user base is good. I am really excited to see the Brewie being carried by Morebeer. The Brewie's collaboration with a distributor like Morebeer will only help its growth and acceptance. Once the Brewie's software for devices like the iPhone, samsung, pads, etc., this machine will be nice wort producing machine.

The Brewie takes you through the steps of the various cleaning and sanitizing sections as well as brewing. If you follow the steps, this machine is easy to use. It is important to ensure the machine is level and calibrated properly. Again, follow the steps and it is easy. I also cannot wait for there to be a beer smith equipment profile for this machine. There is some approximate values for this but their accuracy is just a fair estimate. I am sure this will change for the better. The machine is easy to use and clean. If the software becomes available for IOS and android and it rivals Pico's software than this can easily be a 5 star machine.
