Blackberry Puree is prepared from ripened, washed and sorted varietal blackberry varieties. The product contains no preservatives and no additives.

Use one to two cans per 5-gallon batch of beer or mead. One can will give a slight flavor while two cans will produce a more pronounced fruit flavor. Because the product is sterile you can add directly to your fermenter for maximum flavor. There is no need to boil the puree. This product can also be used to make excellent fruit wines.

  • pH: 2.80 – 3.80
  • Brix: 9.0° – 16.0°
  • Specific Gravity: 1.036 – 1.065
  • Viscosity: 11 – 24 cm/min (Bostwick at 70°F)
  • Color: Dark purple, typical of cooked blackberries

put it along with 15 lbs. of blackberries to make my wine. it along with the berries make a good 13 percent wine also 12 cups of sugar . 1 cup of grape concentrate. 1 one half gallons of water plus additives. RC-212 YEAST 8 GRAMS . GO FERM EVOLUTION. START BRIX-24.2 THANKS

My 7% DIPA turned out pretty well.
I was surprised that the 5 gl batch actual could have used more than the one 49oz can. I figured it would only take about 28oz. Also added a little pure vanilla extract to round out the flavor.
Still, very happy with the flavor.

Kettle sour BlackBerry Hibiscus
Used to make a fruited kettle sour. Used only 16 oz in a 3 gallon batch. Left a slight jammy taste at 1st, but after aging a few months nice BlackBerry after notes.

Adds outstanding flavor to cider (as well as raising ABV). I'd definitely recommend puree over the small bottles of extract flavors.

Could work great for a seasonal beer if it doesn't make it too fruity??
