Description

11.5-14.0% AA - Grows well in all climates. A great bittering hop that is commonly used in U.S. commercial breweries.

The considerable oil content and lower cohumulone levels make this a very versatile hop.
Rhizomes should be planted immediately for best results. If your area is still experiencing frost then you can plant them in a planter indoors until it is safe to transplant outside. The first years crop will generally be smaller than subsequent years. Since these are live plants, we cannot guarantee they will grow, so we recommend buying two of each type to help ensure their success.

Shipping Restrictions:

Due to agricultural restrictions, we can only ship rhizomes to addresses that are in the United States, excepting Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, and the counties of Bonner and Kootenai in Idaho. Unfortunately, we cannot ship these to international locations including APO/FPO addresses.

Shipping Limitation: This item does not qualify for free shipping.

Healthy rhizome
My Nugget rhizomes showed up moist and healthy. They have gone into the ground and there is no reason they should not thrive alongside my other hops.

10 day growth in Durham NC
This is my first attempt at growing my own hops. I didn't do much research other than a few YouTube videos and some online reading. I planted these rhizomes as pairs with the hope that at least on2 would grow. I'm glad to see that both are doing well with watering 1x daily and planted in a "rot prevention" planter containing store bought soil, Miracle-Gro All Purpose Plant Food, and Down To Earth Fish Bone Meal. The rhizomes are under about 1 inch of soil and the temperatures are rather warm (approx mid 80s). The soil in Durham is clay and does not allow proper drainage for this type of vegetation, so when the rhizome reaches full size, it will require transplantation to a specially made bed with the size and drainage required for healthy growth.

Taking off like a weed
At first I was skeptical the roots looked small and packaged in plastic, the prior reviews did not help either. But off all the hops roots I bought, the nugget is doing the best. I am hoping for a harvest this year, if not may in year 2.

Split this crown to get more
Bought this rhizome three years ago. Got a good crop last year and I split the crown this spring to have a second plant.

Didn't grow
I purchased 2 of these and neither plant grew. As soon as I got them, I planted them in a a started cup and neither one of them grew. I won't purchase these again.
