I scrubbed my screen too much, ended up tearing it around the edge. I learned (too late!) that oven cleaner is the trick for these.

After a lot of use, Nesco screens tend to get little holes in them. Screens last about 18 months for me.

Roaster screen purchase
Plugged up oily screens make hot air passage impossible and roasting takes very long. This is the only address to find this part and shipment was fast. Great!

Nesco Roaster Screen
Normally keep several of these on hand for replacement of older screens that are reluctant to cleaning. Placed the order and in a few days was back up and running. The new screen does effect the roasting time. Also guessing that running a badly clogged screen would cause the roaster to overhead to the point of burning it up.
