Description

Fabricated in the USA in our MoreBeer! Metal Shop you can easily ferment 5 gallons of beer in these beautiful fermenters! Made from 304 stainless steel and with the ability to hold up to 5 psi of pressure MoreBeer! conicals are the standard by which other conicals are measured. Professional quality Tri-Clamp fittings are welded in place for a lifetime of use and all the hardware is brewery quality. The rotating racking arm allows youto  adjust where you are drawing beer from on the inside of the fermenter, a key feature when you have different amounts of trub from batch to batch.  The 3" tri-clamp opening on top allows you to easily add hops, oak, fruit, or whatever.  We have a great selection of options including let extensions, casters, CO2 pressure gauges, blow-off and thermowell packages.

Trust in the Quality and History:
We control all aspects of the manufacturing process and carry all parts in stock. We were the original manufacturer of stainless conicals for homebrewing since the 1990's. MoreBeer! conical fermentors are trusted by Sierra Nevada, Stone, Lagunitas, Samuel Adams, Russian River and host of other breweries for pilot brewing and recipe design.

Can you transfer hot wort directly to this? (i.e. no need to cool the wort first- like you can in a unitank?)
Nathaniel Reynolds on Jun 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You can transfer hot wort into this but it is recommended to cool the liquid prior to transferring it into the fermenter.
Can you use the Ultimate yeast harvester on 7.5 gal fermenter without leg extensions?
Chuck B on Nov 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I do not believe that would fit. The large yeast harvester barely fits on my 14 gal conical with the leg extensions on.

Excellent Conical Fermenter
This is an excellent conical fermenter. Very solid tank and valves/accessories. I did return it unused though as I noticed the BrewBuilt Uni Conical Fermenter with more features for a bit more money. Pressure fermenting, polished interior, bigger dump valve, and extra ports mainly.

Great Fermenter...
It's a bit of overkill for my needs but it is top quality from top to bottom.I had some difficulty getting the inverted lid off upon arrival-they may need to put some type of lubricant on there or something. I have only used glass carboys for my fermenting needs in the past & refuse to use plastic. I love that this fermenter can be removed from the stand to clean. Great product!

Makes a difference - can't go back to carboys
I have the 7.5 gallon and could not decide about going 14 gal. I stuck to 7.5 as it can be more easily lifted and moved.

The only problem that I have with the 7.5 gal version is the stability. The leg extension make it hazardous and it can easily lose its balance.

Given that I still prefer these conical to others on the market. I spent time investigating and there are sanitary flaws on others.

I really wish that these connicals came with a cooling jacket that one can circulate glycol.
