Malty brown delisciousness
This brew is excellent Nice dry body with a nice malty taste. Very drinkable. I added half pound flaked wheat to add to the mouthfeel and a little extra ABV.
Also did 2 gallon experiment with 16 oz Maple Syrup added. Haven’t tasted yet but expect it to be awesome.

Nice Maltiness
I found the maltiness pleasing but not too malty. I enjoy this brew at temperature warmer than refrigerator cool.

Fantastic, more hoppy than malty
I'll start by saying I'm not an expert (this was my 6th batch of homebrew). I've always felt ambivalent about Brown Ales that are high in the sugary/malty flavor profile. This recipe, with the added dry hops that are suggested, has a more hoppy, ale-like quality. I love, love, love it. Came out with excellent flavors, pairs well with a diverse set of foods, and not too high on the ABV. It's probably my favorite homebrew so far, alongside the Firestone Walker's Pale Ale. Also as suggested, I tried adding oak chips in fermentation, but don't really notice any oaky characteristics to the beer or aroma.

Fantastic Malty Goodness
Brewed this exactly as the kit directed, with the Wyeast London 1028, and it turned out excellent. This is a brilliant homage to the famous Northern England Brown style. I kept the carbonation low, as appropriate for the style, and its a fantastically smooth drinking beer. Have received several compliments on the beer from people that were unfamiliar with the style, and they were pretty blown away by the flavor.

Truly Delicious
I made this beer to recipe with two additions:

1. Included 1 lb. brandy infused maple syrup to boil
2. Soaked 2oz. french oak chips in single malt and added for six days just after fermentation began

At first, I really didn't like the beer. The oak flavor, particularly the tannins, were way too strong and dominated everything. I thought I had ruined it.

Thankfully, the harshness subsided in the bottle after a month and what emerged was a malty beer that developed a complex oak flavor that mixed with a mellow hop bitterness on the finish. I have not had a commercial beer come anywhere close to this flavor profile. Excellent!

Best Brown Ale Ever
Brewed this twice and both times was a big hit. Second time aged in the keg with Oak Cubes (soaked in bourbon for a week).
