These lids work great!
These lids work great! I have reused many times and have no issues at all. I love these lids with the 7.9 bucket for 6 gal. kits.

Lids works fine
I've never had a problem with the seal. You do have to press kind of hard to get it to click into place but once you do it provides a good seal.

Lid does not seal
I purchased the 7.9 Gallon plastic bucket from More Beer, as well as this lid to go with it. Since it is designed as a primary fermentation vessel I assumed the lid would have a gasket around the rim, and seal tightly. The lid does not come with a gasket, and just sits on top of the bucket without sealing. I wish the description would have indicated that the lid had no gasket. Will have to look for a new lid, or the bucket will be demoted to bottling bucket duty.

Yeah, I just did the exact same thing. As I'm sealing up my first wine batch, I'm wondering why it doesn't seal tight.

I've been using three of these buckets for wine, beer, and everything else for over a year. All the ones ones I have seal perfectly. You have to apply a fair amount of pressure to get them to snap on but once they do I've never had any leakage.
