Description

The KOMOS Slimline Cold Plate is made from rugged aluminum casting with a large thermal mass for excellent heat absorption. High conductivity aluminum alloy aids the heat transfer as your beverage travels through the internal 18 ft. long stainless steel lines. Inlets and outlets come with standard 1/4" male flare thread so you can easily attach swivel nuts and barbs or Duotight push-to-connect fittings. The Komos Slimline is larger than other cooling plates on the market, providing for greater thermal transfer.

If you're making a jockey box for backyard cookouts, tailgaters, or camping trips, we highly recommend cold plates over draft coils. Cooling plates are perfect in low volume applications where space is an issue, and the low-profile design leaves plenty of room to store other food or beverages. If you're looking to serve beer at a festival or wedding where the beer might be constantly flowing, we would recommend stainless coils like those featured in the KOMOS Draft Box.

  • Aluminum cast
  • 18 ft. internal lines made from 304 stainless steel
  • 1/4" male flare connections
  • Extra Large Size: 15" L x 10" W x 1" Thick (2.75" tall at inlet/outlet)
  • Pre-drilled mounting holes
  • Recommended serving pressure - 20-30 psi

I am going to be putting this at the bottom of an ICE maker. This is an ice maker that produces ice and drops it into an insulated bin, and then the ice starts to melt, the melted water is pumped out. My question is as this product sits in ICE and comes to the temperature of ice, is there any chance the water (seltzer and RO) will freeze in this unit? I know it won't freeze where the lines are going in or out as the water outside the unit will be at a higher temperature, but can it freeze in the middle of the unit?
JONATHAN H S on Jun 26, 2024
BEST ANSWER: If the ice is continually melting and basically the plate is in melted ice water, the liquid inside the plate will not freeze, but will be close to freezing. I run into times where the seltzer come out a bit slushie, but never frozen.
Can I use the cold plate in refrigerator to chill room temperature keg? Is there risk of over carbonation?

This KOMOS plate is a game changer
I decided NOT to use the coil style jockey system since I had average results in the past. The plate chiller is amazing. The kegs can be room temp (70's) and the beer comes out in the upper 30's. It fits great in an Igloo 60 or 62 qt. with wheels, with a ton of room for ice that last 2-3 days. If the kegs are cold, the beer is in the mid to low 30's. I tested it with 90* sanitizer, and it came out 40* from the tap. I 100% recommend this type of system.
