Description

Stainless steel shank comes with a back nut, plastic collar, and a 3/16" tailpiece with hex nut and gasket. If desired, the barb can be removed and swapped for a different size or replaced with a Duotight x Beer Thread Adapter. This size of beer shank is a popular choice for building your own custom draft system. Typically installed in the door of a refrigerator or the wooden collar of a converted chest freezer.

The shank’s listed size refers to the total length of threaded pipe. Approximately 1-1/8” are needed to account for the thickness of the finishing collar on the front and the space for the locknut on the back. Please take this into account when sizing the shank for your project.

Installation Note: On a fridge there are generally no coolant lines running through the door but please check to see there are no lines connecting the door and the rest of the refrigerator. To test for coolant lines on a freezer start with a warm freezer then plug the unit in with the lid open. You should be able to see the lines form condensation on the inside of the freezer where there are lines running. Please still use caution when drilling.

Dimensions:

  • 3-1/8" - Shank Length (Without Nut & Nipple)

Awesome product, great price
Got this to replace my chrome plated brass shanks to avoid off flavors. The chrome is cheap and wears away quickly. These are a MUCH better investment as they will last a lifetime. Also, the length is perfect for a keezer or anything where the shank passes through a 2x4 or 2x6 and the but can be replaced with a duotight beer thread fitting if you want to eliminate PVC in your beer lines.
