Oxebar Mono is a lightweight 1-gallon keg with high oxygen barrier properties compared to standard PET plastic
Add the Ball Lock Adapter Tapping Head to easily pressurize and dispense at home or on the go
Lighter than traditional glass growlers. Easier and safer to transport
Made from Nylon impregnated PET for superior oxygen barrier
Wedge seals on the optional Tapping Head and Ball Lock Caps eliminate points of oxygen ingress found where rubber is traditionally used
Lower total oxygen pickup compared to a standard corny keg lid seal

This 1-gallon keg is lightweight, compact and has high oxygen barrier properties with 3x better (meaning less) gas transmission than traditional PET grades of plastic making it suitable for beer storage or other oxygen sensitive carbonated and non-carbonated beverages.

This product is sold with the PCO38 cap, however if you would like to dispense this product through a draft system, we recommend the use of the Ball Lock Adapter Tapping Head. The tapping head is sold separately and allows you to attach standard ball lock disconnects and pressure relief valve to the top of the keg.

Oxebar Mono is a PET polymer blend that utilizes several polymers blended together to significantly improve gas barrier properties. When compared with standard PET plastic, Oxebar Mono is able to reduce oxygen ingress and CO2 loss so your precious beverage is preserved and shelf life extended by 3x. We recommend this product for beer storage of up to 6 months.

BEST ANSWER: I treat these much like other PET jugs and fermenters. Add hot water (not over 140F ... I use tap water which tops around 120F) with PBW or other cleaning agent and shake. No brushes or other instruments that could scratch the surface. Rinse thoroughly and air dry.

I use terry cloths with regular dish soap. Then sanitize with starsan. I don't pressure ferment with this which is why I use dish soap.

Normal brewery cleaners and sanitizers are fine on PET. Just keep it out of the sun and don't scrub with hard bristles

Hands down must have for 1 gal batches

I specifically ordered this instead of a mini-keg that cost almost the same as a 5-gal keg. Works like a charm. I also do not have to fill bottles anymore so I save time transferring from FV to this keg. I also ordered the ball lock adapter. No issues with leaks there. As for the quality of the oxebar, it does seem to have a bit of a thinner side which can dent if pushed in too hard. At the price of a replacement, I would absolutely buy another if needed before I forked over what a mini-keg would cost. Other factors to consider are cost of a min-regulator and sodastream CO2 if that is the route you go. It can get expensive, but for me it works perfectly.

Does the job for a fair price

Note that you need the ball lock dispensing cap if you want to serve via tap.

Pros: They are inexpensive compared to the 1 gallon mini kegs. If you make small batches or test batches (like I do) it's an exexpensive way to keg, carbonate and serve much like any ball lock keg. Of course cleaning is not as easy (just like the mini keg) because of the size of the opening, but you know that before you buy it and should be ready to deal with it.

Cons: My only issue is the shape of the bottom. Many kegerators have non-flat, contoured floors and these kegs don't like to stand up on that floor. There are work-arounds, but this is why I took one star.

Yes I recommend this and will buy it again (with the ball lock cap) if I need more. I do like the mini keg better (with the ball lock cap) but it's more than twice the price at the time of this review, and this does the job just fine.
