Description

Everything you need to have some fresh beer on the go. This ultimate growler is made from double wall, vacuum insulated stainless steel which makes it impervious to oxygen and sunlight. The included pressure lid allows you to pressurize the growler up to 30 psi with the provided mini CO2 regulator. The regulator uses 16 g threaded CO2 cartridges.

Includes:

  • 2 L stainless steel growler
  • Pressure lid with plastic tap
  • Mini CO2 regulator
  • 6 CO2 cartridges

Does this come with the normal lid or just the pressure lid? Also, does this have the surgeon generals warning?

BEST ANSWER: I just got the lid that maintains pressure- it's attached, like a typical swing-top. You adjust pressure as needed to not just maintain carbonation, but also push the beer out the attached pour spout. I don't remember any health warnings on it, and I do typically pay attention to warning labels like that- however, I got mine a while back, so it might have some now.
Can this be used to force carbonate my homebrew?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, but regulating the pressure is a little tough. I ended up setting it at about 10# and shaking it till it dropped to 0, then repeating until it didn't drop any more. It will use a lot of CO2 though, so be warned.

Nice little growler
This is a cool little growler. It worked great the first time. It’s a bit awkward to put the dispenser on, but it’s ok. You do have to hold the lever all the way open or you get lots of foam. Just wish I got a bigger one.

Works great with a little dialing in.
First, MoreBeer has the best customer service. Got one of these growler taps for the holidays. First time I used it I had an issue with the regulator. I emailed MoreBeer about the issue and the fix was in the mail the next day. Used it again tonight for Super Bowl and it worked perfectly!

A few tips to dial this in to perfect working order.

1) Keg lube on all sides of the seals will allow this to hold pressure just fine with either the regular cap or the tap cap.

2) You can adjust how tight this will seal by bending the wires used to lock the caps down. It closes like a Grolsch cap. Remember that too tight will deform the seal and cause leaks. You want it tight but not over tight.

3) I have not done this yet but will this week. I will replace the tubing to the picnic tap with actual beer line. The tubing that comes installed from the cap to the tap is on the thin side and causes some foam from kinking. 3/16 beer line should work perfect.

For the price, a great growler and tap! For customer service, MoreBeer can't be beat!
