Description

(Makes 5 gallons) We would not have put 3lbs of honey with 4.5 lbs of malt extract in a pale ale, but Jim had no fear and did just that. The result - a really nice mix of malt and honey flavors. There is enough honey to make it through into the flavor. Just a little Cascade hops in the beginning and finish keep the flavor emphasis on the honey. He suggests WLP002 because it is less attenuative and leaves more malt behind.

Love this summer time brew
Great beer that is perfect for sipping during the hot summer months. The honey finish is different and noticable. People will love this beer, I promise. I made this twice now and I have enjoyed it both times. I can't say enough about the honey in this beer. Try and see what I am talking about.

Fantastic Recipe
This is the recipe that got me hooked into beer brewing. A friend invited me to help him brew, and I said that I would provided it would be a beer involving honey. I'm a beekeeper, so that's the reason for my interest. We substituted the honey that comes with the recipe with some from my own hives and the beer came out amazing. I've now bought a kit, and am brewing my own batch. Looking forward to tasting this in a few weeks.

Amazing!
I made it without any changes, just straight out of the box. Had my first just a few minutes ago and loved it. Placing a second order right now. Might try a little modification this time just to hone my skills, but definitely not needed.

My favorite beer so far!
I have made about 5 different beers, from More Beer, and this one is my favorite! It is an easy drinking, smooth ale. Not too hoppy, but there are floral scents on this brew, and a finish of honey. It is a very refreshing beer!

The best honey beer I have ever had!
The late honey addition, and lots of it leaves you with a crisp, awesome beer, with unmistakable honey flavors. People who like a flavorful beer will love it. It will convert people who are not regular beer drinkers, into whiny friends (and wives) that beg you to make it again. I brewed it for my own wedding and still people remember that more than our special day. Try it... it is fantastic.

Good warm weather beer
This kit comes out great. I have brewed it twice now and both kegs have been a hit. Getting ready to brew it again on Saturday and looking forward to having it after a long hot summer day.

Brew-Drink-Repeat
We brewed this during our Brew Years Eve party, decided after 1 week in the Primary we would rack on top of 2 lbs local pitted & stemmed cherries for 2 weeks, our Hunny Cherry Pale has been a hit, We will brew again w/o cherries in 2013!
