Description

You can save water during the cooling process with our MoreBeer! water efficient chiller with direct connect fittings for garden hoses. This coil has an inner water mixer that causes the cooling water to turbulate as it travels through the coil. This reduces the laminar flow found in standard chillers where only the outer water is cooled as it moves through the coil. The result is a 40% reduction in water, and faster cooling, when compared with our standard chillers.
 
ALL of our chillers feature coils that are raised up to where the heat is. Since heat rises and other wort chillers on the market have all the coils on the bottom, they actually never cool unless you stir your wort. The problem with stirring is that you mix up all your trub/sediment and you also risk airborne contamination. Our chillers cool fast and allow you to keep the lid on your kettle during the critical cooling period.

So far so good, only 1 batch thus far. Better than my old one w/ hose just crimped on. Seemed to chill a bit faster.

Works very well
Seriously cuts the amount of time needed to chill a batch to pitching temps. I hooked it up to a pond pump and created a recirculating system with a wash tub. Now, I throw in a couple 20lbs bags of ice and can chill my wort down in about 20 min. All without using as much water, which is a necessity in California now.

Great way to cool t he wort
I can get pitch temps in about 20 min. I will buy another to act a prechiller in a nice bath to get it down to 15 minutes or less.

Absolutely cuts time on brew day! If you live in or near Louisiana, you probably need a pre chiller during the summer months.

Even during summer, this chiller will do the job and get from 100C down to 25C in about 30 minutes time.

Works as promised
I have an 8 gallon kettle with notched lid that I also bought from you and it fits perfectly. Well made and nicely finished. Had considered a stainless one from another website but the helpful lady on your order desk told me that copper is a better conductor/heat tranfer metal than stainless, which I didn't know. I really appreciate her telling me that. Thank you.

Cuts cool time down
Best tool I've bought this season! Glad I went for the brass fittings to keep drips out, and beats cooling wort in an ice bath by leaps and bounds. Just be sure to put in the boil with 20 minutes left to sanitize.
