Description

An ice pack wrapped up with your liquid yeast to help extend the time that the yeast stays cool in transit.  Cool temps help keep the viability of the yeast higher which in turns leads to faster fermentation start times and better beer.  For an even better solution consider our insulated mailer with 2 ice packs.

Please note - Liquid yeast will not arrive cold even when shipped with ice packs. Ice packs and insulated mailing options are designed to keep the yeast colder for longer during shipment, but they will not ensure that your yeast arrives cold. We will not replace liquid yeast that arrives warm. During warmer months we strongly recommend you choose dry yeast.

Ice crucial when shipping yeast
Since my yeast orders often ship from the PA(I think) warehouse to my California home, this ice is essential! For orders shipped during summer it is not sufficient.

My ice and yeast package arrived warm or thawed out for the most part.

We make diligent efforts to ensure temperature sensitive ingredients arrive as they should. These ice packs are a preventative measure and are not fail safe against the elements. It does help keep the yeast cooler for a longer period of time than if no ice pack was used. Unfortunately, sometimes the heat is too much to overcome. For everything else we are always here to help.
