I am presently fermenting my first beer. the kit has what I need. At first I thought they sent me a Wine kit in a beer box, but More Wine in just printed on the other side of the bucket. Pros; Almost everything I need, Hydrometer and test tube, Bottle brush, caps, caper, air lock, stopper, tubing, two bottle fillers, sanitizer, fermenting bucket, bottling bucket, one lid.- Cons; The lid can leak, This caused panic, Solution: I used plastic packing wrap, (food storage wrap) to seal the lid, the. The bubbling stated again. After choosing a good starter beer in a box kit, (I choose a dry malt kit) - I went to work brewing. cleaned and sanitized the fermentor, pitched the yeast and put it all in a dark cool place to work. The nest day it stated bubbling slowly, the day after it was bubbling very well. I carefully twisted the lid to get a better look at the air lock so I could watch the bubbles and that's when it all went wrong. The bubbling stopped! For the first time. after waiting all day for the bubbling to start again I decided to twist the lid again and the bubbling started again. after a few days I messed with the air lock and the bubbling stopped. I thought this was the end of my yeast, but after researching I discovered that sealing the lid with plastic wrap made the bubbles start again. Next time I make a batch of beer I will seal the lid with plastic wrap.
