Works for both capped and uncapped shrink capsules
We use two sizes of open-ended shrink capsules and a capped shrink capsule with foil tear at our distillery. In our semi-automated bottling line this replaced a heat gun and lazy Susan and has not only improved throughput but has largely eliminated operator error and rework
When used on a capped shrink capsule leaves some air between the cork and and the capsule which makes peeling the foil ribbon a little easier as well.
This is much better than any of the table top models. I have the best table top model in stainless steel and this beats the hell out of it in many ways. First off it does not burn or discolor the top of the shrink caps if you touch the stop in the table top version it will burn the top of the cap Easy to handle. Just a little heavy if you use it for long. The only thing you have to make sure of is that the cap is all the way down on the bottle. This will shrink the caps much more evenly on the bottle instead of some times the cap pulls to one side more than the other and sometimes it curls up at the bottom with the table version. Can you believe no directions come with it, yes no directions at all. So one word of advice turn it on for the fist time outside the house or building because it will burn off all the scale from the coil and insulation and will fill your house with smoke big time and smell for days in the house. After 10-15 mins all will be OK and you can use it indoors.
