Gnome is a mellow Root Beer with a big, round flavor. Totally subdued when compared with Zatarains. It has a lot of followers including us. Makes 5 to 10 gallons per packet according to the instructions. We recommend using half a packet per 5 gallon batch.

The recipe included on the back of these packs is for a 2.5 gallon batch using 1 to 2 oz per batch.

4 oz package. Makes 5 to 10 gallons of rootbeer.

My Daughter Loves this!!
Excellent, super easy to make. I keg mine and my daughter has her own tap on my keezer! Frosty mugs in the freezer, she loves it!

Great rootbeer, super easy!
Ok, listen up. Wanna give the kids the sugar high of their lives? Grab a 5 gallon corny keg, put about a gallon of hot water in it (hot water makes it easier to mix ingredients) dump in the whole package of Gnome Rootbeer, 2 pounds of white sugar and 2 pounds of brown sugar. Fill the keg up about half way (hot water again) and shake the hell out of it. Then top it up to the 5 gallon mark, plug it into your CO2 (I use 30 lbs of pressure) and in about a week you have awesome rootbeer on tap. Bam!

Good Kit
Kids love it. We keep a keg on tap at all times for kids and company.

Must have for the kids
I made this recipe and it was a hit with all the kids. I put this in a keg and put it on tap in our garage. One word of caution, if you put this on tap, understand that the lines will hold the root beer taste and cannot be used for your home brew recipes. Or you can ignore this review and enjoy root beer infused home brew.

Great for kids
Not super spicy, more like an A&W than a Barqs or something stronger, not bad.

good for floats
made this in with a kit and it was ok, not the best but not the worst. Was delicious in a float though.

Wasn't blown away
I like root beer and thought this would be a special treat. Think again, it brewed up a very mediocre root beer. Not impressed, I can buy a better root beer at the grocery store.

Delicious
So creamy and delicious. My kids always ask for it. It's my favorite extract out there.

The kids love it!
My kids really enjoyed this particular brand as it is the closest to store-bought root beer. We used a combination of sugar and honey in a slightly lower proportion than recommended and it turned out great.
