These particular one gallon glass jars are great for fermentation experiments (different yeast strains or dry hops), recipe formulation, or bringing a gallon of your most recent batch to a party!

Perfect!
Just what we're been wanting for years to hold our drinking water.
Heavy duty. Great quality. Good packaging and delivery. The green glass vs. clear glass helps us differentiate the types of water we store. Thx much!

Love these glass jugs.
Love these jugs soooo much. I live in AZ and use them for water. (I Refuse to drink the tap water anywhere around here. It's treated with chemicals and just gross...) Sometimes we travel about 50 miles to get fresh spring off the mountain. It doesn't taste the same out of any other type of container so glass is the way to go! Plus, You can't find a decent price for glass jugs around anywhere! But these are the ones to buy. Some place in town sells clear ones for 11 a pop! So this is a really good deal. Please please more beer, don't change your prices! Haha.

Nice glass
I make these into lamps. The glass is good quality, and they make nice lamps. You can do a lot with them. The price isn't bad, either.

Smallbatch brewing
I love experimenting. I'll divide a 5 gallon batch into different batches using different hops or different yeast or doing oak experiments.

as promised
slight different size opening than the 1 gallon clear but the same stopper works. works well for small batch or starter on stir plate.

Great for small batch testing!
Works as described. Great to use for split batch yeast or adjunct testing.

Couldn't brew without it!
*When I bought mine, it was listed as 4 liters, which is slightly larger than a gallon*
I use this little guy for all sorts of stuff. Holding a yeast cake to transfer into a new brew, making larger yeast starters, trying out new yeasts on only a small portion of my batch, aging a small portion of the batch with oak or spirit-soaked oak... it's great! I have also made a couple small batches of mead in here when I didn't feel like splurging on a ton of honey and/or having my 5 gallon fermenter unavailable for 6 months.

Great for minor tweaks
I've come up with a lot of good recipes, but I'm constantly wondering what little changes to the recipe would do. This is great for smaller batches.

as advertised
This is a green gallon jug. I got it to make small beers (or second rinses of my grain after the primary 5 gallon rinse) from an old colonial trick to make beer for children.

I purchased this with a cap that had a hole in it to serve as a blow off tube. it works pretty well.
