Glass demijohns are great containers for wine, vinegar, kombucha, and many other beverages. They have a classic teardrop shape and a plastic protective basket. Narrow mouth demijohns are excellent for fermenting and storing wines, or other products where you do not need to get into the container.

This demijohn has a 2" mouth. Use a #11 stopper for the narrow mouth 14 gallon demijohn.

All demijohns include the glass demijohn, plastic basket with removable top, and plastic dust cover.

great for storing wine
This stores almost as much as three carboys and takes up a lot less space. The glass is thick and slightly tinted. The demijohn is in a serviceable plastic basket that provides good protection. It can be a little unwieldy to clean. I do not trust the basket handles to lift the demijohn when full. I certainly would buy another one. The only odd thing – it seems like it might have been stored in a barn. There was straw and other debris in the basket giving the demijohn a certain “old world” character. It cleaned up quickly.
