Perfect for getting your transfers done fast!

When you're transferring large volumes of liquid, it can be hard to keep from pouring too fast and spilling. The large opening of this 30 cm (12”) funnel makes it even easier to avoid spills than our 21 cm (8.25”) model.

Because this funnel is wider at the top, you will need another person to steady it when you pour wort into a 5, 6, or 6.5 gallon carboy. The funnel bottom fits into the carboy, however the large volume of liquid in the funnel’s cone makes it top heavy and prone to tip over if it’s not supported. If you’re looking for a one person operation you will want the 21 cm (8.25”) model.

The total height is 11 1/4” / width is 11 3/4” and the nozzle is 1 1/16”..
FYI.. it’s to large to fit into the standard 6 gallon carboy.

From top to bottom it is 12 inches. The actual final piece that is the thin part is about 4 1/2 inches. Enter an answer to this question.

I'd like to attach a hose to this funnel and wondering if someone might know the ID of the hose I would need for a snug fit? Thanks!

BEST ANSWER: At the very end of the funnel the diameter is exactly one inch. However, the neck of the funnel tapers so a hose with a one inch inside diameter won't get very far up the neck. I would go with whatever the next hose size up would be to make sure you get a good fit. Hope this helps. Greg

The end of the funnel is 1 1/32” od. However it tapers quickly and has ribs to allow air into any vessel it is installed in. Not sure that the application of a hose would be successful without leakage due to the tapering.

The OD of the tip of the funnel is right at 1", an then flares larger the further you go up. So I'd aim for a 1" ID tube,

Is the stem of this of a diameter whereby I could drill a hole in a #7 stopper to fit snugly in my Anvil 7.5 fermentor? Thanks!

BEST ANSWER: No. The stem of the funnel is exactly 1 inch at the bottom. A #7 Stopper has Top diameter 1.43 inches, bottom diameter 1.19 inches. So to drill out the stopper enough for the funnel to fit you would not have any stopper left (0.095 inches thick).

This stem of this funnel has an outside diameter of 1” at the base and the outside diameter increases by approximately 1/4” for every inch that you move up the stem. A #7 stopper has a top diameter of 1 7/16” and a bottom diameter of 1 3/16”, so I do not think this funnel will meet your needs. The hole you will need to drill to accommodate this funnel will most likely be too big for a #7 stopper.

Definitely not a one person operation

You will definitely need 2 people to use this funnel. It does not fit into my 6 gallon carboy snug enough to use it by yourself. I had to have my wife hold while I pured from my boil pot into the funnel. The larger size is preferable, and you might be able to construct something to hold it in place if you do not have a helping hand...
