Flow Control Shank Adapter

THIS ITEM IS ON BACKORDER
Item currently out of stock
Description

Changes any faucet into a flow control faucet! Simply add this adapter in between your tap and shank, then you can adjust the flow with an allen wrench. Once adjusted, the flow is locked in and cannot be accidentally changed. This adapter will fit most shanks.

To make adjustments, first loosen the top and bottom hex head screws with the allen wrench. Turn the middle ring to adjust flow restriction. Open your faucet to test the flow restriction and make further adjustments if needed. Once the desired restriction is dialed in, retighten the top and bottom screws.

Does not include the body gasket for connecting the adapter to the shank. If you do not already have a spare on hand, please find the body gasket below under "You Might Also Need".

Please note: the shank collar and small adjustment screw are made from chrome plated brass. All other parts are made from stainless steel, including all parts that come into contact with liquid.

What are the required gaskets for this flow controller? I need to replace one in the interior of the unit and it seems that both exterior sides also need faucet gaskets. Without the gaskets I have been having foam issues - could that be a cause?
Michael P B on Jan 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The internal gasket on the flow controller is 16.2 mm. Beer faucet body gaskets (D1200B) can be used on both exterior sides for a better seal, which will likely help with foaming issues.

Flow control schank adapter.
Adaptor appears to be well made. Dose the intended job, but has leakage issues. The addition of an o-ring might solve that problem.

Not a substitute for proper line length
These work well to fine tune the flow but you still need to have proper line lengths to prevent foamy pours. I wanted these so I could serve 4 volume sours on the same lines as a 2 volume beer and not have to keep a library of line lengths. Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. Foamy pours unless the line length is sufficient. .

They are also a little shaky on the tap. My taps will shake around slightly with these installed.

That all being said. They do control the flow rate.
