Irish Red Flash Brewing™ Kit
One of our best-selling kits of all time, Irish Red Ale is decidedly malt-forward with a distinctive caramel flavor. Our most complex malt recipe, with a perfect blend of golden, amber, and dark malt extracts, obtains a robust malt flavor and deep amber-red color. The perfect winter beer, but can be enjoyed year-round.

Flash Brewing™ Kits
Introducing MoreBeer!'s Flash Brewing™ Kits! Designed for both novice and seasoned homebrewers, these innovative recipe kits allow you to simply mix the ingredients with water and add yeast for fermentation. This streamlined process not only saves you valuable time but also simplifies brewing without sacrificing flavor. Say hello to a faster, easier way to craft exceptional beer at home.

Typically, brewing requires you to boil your malt and hops for one hour, followed by another hour for cooling. Flash Brewing™ eliminates the need to boil. Our Flash Brewing™ malt recipes have been boiled and whirlpooled before they are dried. We then use a HopBite™ shot for bitterness combined with a mix of traditional hop pellets for flavor. Flash Yeast™ starts quickly and consistently produces clean beer that lets the malt and hops shine. The result is a high-quality beer that will absolutely surprise you.

Equipment Required for Flash Brewing™
Flash Brews can be fermented in any wide mouth 6 or 7-gallon fermenter you already own. We suggest a wide mouth fermenter so you can easily pour in the ingredients. The 7-gallon Fermonster fermenter is a perfect choice. If you are new to brewing and need a fermentation kit, click here.

I was going with 2, but now 4!
And it could go to a 5...

First, let me say I had to tinker. I used 2 ounces of Carafoam and 12 ounces of Caramunich 1 that I prepared on the stove top. I also used RO water and tweaked it with mostly Gypsum and Calcium Chloride.

In the end, this turned out to be one of my most popular beers. I've never had a 5 Gallon keg disappear so fast which is why it could be a 5, but...

This is advertised as a flash brew, and ready to drink in a week. It's not. We did drink it in a week, but it was cloudy and tasted of bad homebrew yeast. We did drink it that weekend though.

Then it sat in my kegerator for three weeks, and it completely cleared. The result was a fruity, delicious red ale with just a hint of bitterness and floral aroma. People loved it. I was shocked that a DME beer could be so good.

I would do this again, and if MoreBeer removes the claim that you can drink it in a week (that's what the YT videos said), I'd bump this to 5.

If you're interested, in the water, I did 24.4 ppm Calcium, 0,7. Magnesium, 7.6 Sodium, 35.7 Sulfate, and 30.8 Chloride.

I'd Brew it Again
For a 10 minute brew day, I'm impressed with the results. The color came out as amber, no biggie. I kegged it after 11 days. It tastes really good; just wish it had more body to it. All in all, I'd brew it again.

Flash Irish Red
What can I say, this is a really good beer for a 10 minute brew day. I chose to keg this beer. To me, this looks more like an Amber ale , but still tastes close to a red ale. My only issue is I really taste the Willamette hops, not my favorite, which is subjective. But all in all I would buy and make it again. Good beer!
