German Hefe Flash Brewing™ Kit
This German-style Wheat Beer has a lovely blond color and a distinctly hazy appearance in the glass. Using 100% Bavarian Wheat malt extract and a dash of German Hallertauer hops provides just enough bitterness and hop flavor to balance the malt and yeast character. Our German Hefeweizen is a customer favorite!

Flash Brewing™ Kits
Introducing MoreBeer!'s Flash Brewing™ Kits! Designed for both novice and seasoned homebrewers, these innovative recipe kits allow you to simply mix the ingredients with water and add yeast for fermentation. This streamlined process not only saves you valuable time but also simplifies brewing without sacrificing flavor. Say hello to a faster, easier way to craft exceptional beer at home.

Typically, brewing requires you to boil your malt and hops for one hour, followed by another hour for cooling. Flash Brewing™ eliminates the need to boil. Our Flash Brewing™ malt recipes have been boiled and whirlpooled before they are dried. We then use a HopBite™ shot for bitterness combined with a mix of traditional hop pellets for flavor. Flash Yeast™ starts quickly and consistently produces clean beer that lets the malt and hops shine. The result is a high-quality beer that will absolutely surprise you.

Equipment Required for Flash Brewing™
Flash Brews can be fermented in any wide mouth 6 or 7-gallon fermenter you already own. We suggest a wide mouth fermenter so you can easily pour in the ingredients. The 7-gallon Fermonster fermenter is a perfect choice. If you are new to brewing and need a fermentation kit, click here.

  • German Hefeweizen Flash Malt™: 5 lbs
  • Hallertau Hops: 1 oz
  • HopBite™: 15 IBU Shot

Flash Brewing recipe kits do not include priming sugar. For bottling, we recommend PopTops™ Swing Top Bottles and Pop Shots Carbonation Tablets.

Pretty good
This is my second flash kit as I am limited on time at the moment for all grain brews. This hefe is honestly pretty good. It certainly does not hold a candle to my all grain hefes which is expected but for the ease of brewing and time invested, you cannot go wrong. It's still delicious.

I switched the yeast for SafAle W-68 dry yeast as it's an actual hefe strain (maybe Morebeer could also switch from wb-06 to w-68 kit to be more true to style). I fermented at a 70f room temp since I love a more banana forward hefe and it sure delivered on the banana. I normally use WLP-300, so it's nice to see a dry yeast that is just as good but half the price.

One thing that is strange to me is that using RO water, the body/mouth feel seems a little too full. Perhaps it's just me over analyzing since I am trying to be a little critical. If i had a complaint, that would be the only one.

Like the Citra Session, I would certainly recommend it for a quick turn around.

Makes a very pleasant beer!
Super easy to get everything into the FV.
Mine finished a bit dry though, at 1.006.
Smells and tastes like a solid hefe, just wish there was a little bit more to chew on.

I'll be trying the other flash kits soon. Great job MB!

Easiest Brew Day Ever
Now that I've experienced the Easiest Brew Day Ever, I am anxious to do another one. Even though I haven't even racked it out of the Fermzilla yet, I can tell that it is a very authentic German Hefeweizen. It looks exactly like the Hefeweizen Mit Hef that I had in Landshut, Germany.

I'm all ready to Rack 'n' Roll.

this hefeweizen is legit
I honestly had low expectations for this kit, but I am VERY impressed by how good this beer turned out. This is a very true-to-style, well-balanced German hefeweizen. This beer surpasses my all-grain brews for this style and even rivals some great commercial examples. This kit works as advertised and makes a legit hefeweizen!
