Blonde Ale Flash Brewing™ Kit
An easy-drinking blonde ale with a low bitterness level, this beer is as light and breezy as the name implies. A blend of pilsen and golden malt extract gives it the blonde color, and a kiss of Cascade hops adds flavor. One of our most crowd-pleasing kits, this is an ideal summer beer and a great option if you’re brewing for a party.

Flash Brewing™ Kits
Introducing MoreBeer!'s Flash Brewing™ Kits! Designed for both novice and seasoned homebrewers, these innovative recipe kits allow you to simply mix the ingredients with water and add yeast for fermentation. This streamlined process not only saves you valuable time but also simplifies brewing without sacrificing flavor. Say hello to a faster, easier way to craft exceptional beer at home.

Typically, brewing requires you to boil your malt and hops for one hour, followed by another hour for cooling. Flash Brewing™ eliminates the need to boil. Our Flash Brewing™ malt recipes have been boiled and whirlpooled before they are dried. We then use a HopBite™ shot for bitterness combined with a mix of traditional hop pellets for flavor. Flash Yeast™ starts quickly and consistently produces clean beer that lets the malt and hops shine. The result is a high-quality beer that will absolutely surprise you.

Equipment Required for Flash Brewing™
Flash Brews can be fermented in any wide mouth 6 or 7-gallon fermenter you already own. We suggest a wide mouth fermenter so you can easily pour in the ingredients. The 7-gallon Fermonster fermenter is a perfect choice. If you are new to brewing and need a fermentation kit, click here.

Angus D on Jan 11, 2025

BJCP comments
I made this kit at one of our Homebrew club meetings. I entered it in a BJCP judged contest to see what the comments would ne. It scored at 27. Had an Astringent (puckering) harshness that all three judges picked up on. Not sure where it came from. I entered to just see how it would score.

Faster? Yes. Better? No.
I've been an extract brewer for years, but I had to try flash brewing. It's not exactly reimagining fresh beer. I used distilled water. Fermentation at 75 degrees was active. I left it in the fermenter for 17 days & bottle conditioned now for 3 weeks. Compared to the extract recipe, it is cloudier, and just not very good tasting. Kind of like the difference between frozen concentrate juice vs something fresher and less processed off the food store shelf. Unfortunately, I also bought the Cali Mountain Pale Ale kit. Maybe that will turn out better but I feel like I wasted my money.

Flash
After almost 20 years of homebrewing, I saw this and had to give it a go. Instructions: simple; process: simple, temperature control,
I just left it at hose temp 76 deg; fermented in stainless steel until one CO2 bubble every five minutes (usually I do one bubble per minute). Racked off, bottled, add the carb drops (12 ounce I think 4 would have been better). Sat for two weeks, into the frig. Taste: HUM a little on the bitter side. I think that is from the HOP SHOT, if I were to do again, it would get a secondary fermentation with insaglas to clear with some dry hops. Cured the bitter by adding 2 teaspoons of lemon juice after the pour, kind like Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy.

Very Surprised
I followed the instructions enclosed, two weeks in primary, bottled with carb drops, two weeks in bottle.
I used distilled water. It couldn't have been easier.
I would alter the instructions next time adding the yeast and hops earlier. Brew day was minutes, not hours.
Beer is vey drinkable. Certainly worth the price.
Well done guys!
