A 30L (7.9 gal) food-grade plastic bucket with volume markings on the side. Ideal for all fermentations, but especially ideal for wine kits, beers that tend to have a high krausen (hefe) and any fermentation that is slightly too large for your 6 gallon pail. Features an indent for a spigot to thread into, must be bored out.  Our FE346 spigot threads in perfectly and offers a sediment block nut.

My local brew shop owner told me that these buckets can withstand temperatures up to boiling so I could use it for a hot liquor tank powered by a bucket heater. Is this correct?
Timothy Chilcoat on Mar 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We do not recommend using this bucket as a boil tank. Your better off using metal.
What lid goes on this bucket?
David Rufino on Jan 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This lid, FE362, but I've found the size is standard across most 7.9G HDPE buckets, kinda in the same way that 5 and 6G buckets have the same geometry

Good for 5 gal batches
I like using it for 5 gallon batches when there is a very active ferment. The air lock doesn't get clogged up like it does with a smaller bucket.

Great Bucket!
The perfect bucket for 6 gal. kits! Get FE346 spigot and FE362 lid. The lid is a little hard to press on but, makes a great seal and can be reused with no issues at all.

Love it.
Perfect size for what I do. Kits that make 6 gallons have plenty of room for their primary fermentation. I transport my fresh grapes and destemmed and crushed grapes in these in my car with no problems.

Lasts a good number of brews, I am curious, cane the good folks at moreover confirm if FE347 attaches to the molded thread at the bottom?

It's my favorite bucket
The lid on my old 7.9 gallon bucket, from another store, broke. I tried to replace it with the lid that fits this bucket, only to find that it was not the same size. Instead of returning it, I bought the matching bucket and it has become my favorite fermentation vessel. The larger size is great for adding fruit to the fermenter, the plastic is slightly transparent, so you have some idea of what is happening inside and I prefer the integrated handles over the usual wire ones.

Great for Mead/Wine
These buckets are great because they provide a good seal, are easy to clean and access during the primary. I use these for the primary because I can take samples, add nutrients, stir easily, then rack into glass to age.

Nice sturdy bucket
I bought two of these buckets (plus lids) to use for 10 gallon beer buckets. I split one batch between the two buckets to have plenty of head room. I like the way the handles are integrated into the sides of the bucket as opposed to the wire loop handles most buckets have. The buckets are also set up for a spigot to be added.
