Description

Use in conjunction with an Enolmatic or Enolmaster filler to filter wine inline as you are bottling. Saves time by eliminating a separate step and allows you to filter without using a pump or exposing your wine to oxygen. This filter unit is placed inline between the product and the filler itself.

Filters are available in 5, 1 and .5 micron ratings. The filter cartridges used with this housing can be cleaned and re-sanitized for future useage. Wash by running PBW (CL25) followed by a hot then a cold rinse. Re-sanitize immediately after washing and then again just prior to the next use with SaniClean (CL27).

Does this item work as well as the Buon Vino Mini Jet Filter?

Buon Vino Mini Jet Filter
Buon Vino Mini Jet Filter
BEST ANSWER: I tried the Buono Vino Mini Jet filter system, but the flat sheet filters don't have much capacity. I have used the Enolmatic Inline filter housing system (2 tandem housings) with spiral filters for filling wine bottles. With a large pore filter followed by a 0.45 micron filter we filled 50 cases of wine without changing filters.
Where can I get a replacement gasket? I have leaks in the unit.
Nathan K on Mar 14, 2022
BEST ANSWER: I don’t understand why you have a leak, gaskets lasts a long time. Maybe you didn’t tighten the lid down enough? I use the enolmatic in-line filter and it works fine, maybe adjust the pressure setting on the enolmatic filler, I process about 30-50 cases a year.
Does this unit must be used with enolmatic brand filter cartridge only or any off brand can be used as well. If so, what kind of cartridge to look for?
FromLV L on May 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I don't know if other brands will fit this filter cartridge. I used the 0.45 micron cartridge that can be reused after sucking PBW through it, then water (2 or 3 gallons) then SaniClean or StarSan. The cartridges are expensive so the fact that they can be reused is a plus. I don't do malolactic fermentation on my white wines, therefore they must be sterile filtered to prevent any bacteria from getting into the finished wine at bottling.
Can this be used with C02 to push through the filter? Or does this only work with Vacuum?
Christopher A on Dec 19, 2021
BEST ANSWER: I have only used this with a vacuum pull, but the setup should work for a push through the filter

How do you get a replacement O Ring for the lid on this item?
Sam D on Oct 17, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I haven't had to replace the O-ring yet, but it looks like you need some type of extraction tool. A bent paperclip also might work also. I don't want to try digging it out because i could damage it.
Can this be used as an inline racking filter with a gas transfer setup or the Super Transfer diaphragm pump? I know that either methods could damage the filters, but a gentle gas transfer seems doable if care is taken. I have the enolmatic bottle filler and this filter housing, and I would like to prefilter a 110L barrel before final filtration/bottling, preferably without having to buy a new filtration setup. I have already tried a vacuum transfer to a ~30gal vessel, and the enolmatic vacuum pump does not have the capacity to pull sufficient vacuum down on that large of container to initiate flow.
Kyle Stone on May 19, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This can be used as an in-line racking filter. There is a risk of tearing the filters if your filter gets clogged up and your pump pushes too hard. Put an in-line valve to regulate the flow and pressure into the filter from the pump and watch it carefully and you'll have no issues.
Do you sell the replacement O-Ring for the lid of this product? If so what is the part #
