Description

After using the Italian crusher/destemmer units for many years ourselves, we designed and manufactured a special accessory stand that is just tall enough to allow grapes to drop directly into your fermenter or transfer container. Many customers opt to use our 32 Gallon food-grade containers (which we sell as WE509). A regular garbage can can be placed at the end of the unit to collect stems. By using the stand you eliminate the need to move the must and stems from container-to-container, thus saving time and energy. This model fits our WE220 and WE223 series of EnoItalia Crusher/Destemmers. Does not fit models from other manufacturers.

Please Note: This stand comes broken down, and will require assembly.

A solid stand for my Crusher-Destemmer
I bought this stand and am very happy with it. It is very tall and that is good if you want the crush to go directly into a 32-gallon fermenter. But I wanted to crush into a smaller 8-gallon bucket so i cut off 11 inches. It comes with strong legs and a nice Stainless-steel chute. Solid product, easy to modify. If I took the design to my local fabricator, it would cost me three times as much to have a stand made.

Works.
Does what it’s supposed to. Needs some foil installed to keep grapes from being flung out. Shipping was ok- packaging was disappointing. Just parts in a box with no padding.

Needs a little better engineering
First, the chute is poorly designed for the crusher. The must all comes down it on one side. No it is not unlevel.

Second, it is at least a foot too high. We cut 11 inches off and we could have cut more.

Thirdly, with little more effort, it could have had a studier design

Excellent edition for the Enoitalia WE220PS manual crusher destemmer
I used to use sawhorses to hold my Enoitalia WE220PS manual crusher destemmer, and I used to loose too many grapes because they would fall outside my buckets.

Got this stand and chute to solve that issue. I cut about 11 inches off each leg though, as it was way too tall for my little application. For my use, no further modifications or fortifications were necessary as it's plenty stable enough.

It works very well to funnel the grapes/juice into my buckets. Sometimes, if the chute gets backed up, some grapes can fall over the edge, so it's just a matter of giving them a push into the bucket ever now and then to keep things moving along.

If you have one of the Enoitalia crusher destemmers that fits on this, I'd highly recommend it!

It works well
Kind of flimsy but using shallow unistrut it was very easy to shore up. Also cut 10 inches off the legs so that it can be accessed from ground. It was worth the money because it was easy to shore up.

Good Product
Easy to put together. Good quality. Surprised that there was no documentation in the box, however the "Enoitalia Crusher Destemmer Stand & Chute Assembly Instructions" are on your site, so that made up for it. As another reviewer commented, the stand makes the destemmer very high, so for my limited harvest, I will cut the legs down 8" to handle smaller tubs. Also, a chute at the end of the stand would be nice to catch and deflect the stems into a barrel. It was easy to make and should be standard.

Lacking
Not sturdy enough so I’ll have to add some flat stock or angle iron. The welds look like they contracted the local high school shop class. It came in a box that was broken on arrival with literally 2 strips of paper for dunnage. This is the first complaint I’ve had with the MoreWine group.

Modifications make it a 5 star stand
Height is good for 32" barrel but creates an unstable platform that is also difficult to feed grapes into crusher/destemer even from the bed of a truck. Cut 8" off legs and bolted 1 1/2"x24" aluminum angle to the legs for stability. Also built shute for stems since design of stand does not allow for bucket to sit directly below outlet.
