Description

CRYO HOPS® provide brewers with the ability to get gigantic hop character while reducing astringent and unpleasant vegetal flavors.  With a substantially higher oil and resin content, LupuLN2 powder (pelletized) offers up all the flavor and aroma of a heavily hopped beer, but with a significanly reduced grassy character.  Additionally, the lower dosage rate of the concentrated powder reduces the volume of trub and therefore, kettle loss.  Using CRYO HOPS® you will net more beer that is clearer!

Typical usage of CRYO HOPS® would be roughly 50% of standard T-90 pellets.  LupuLN2 powder can be used in any application where traditional hop products are utilized, including: Bittering, Kettle, Whirlpool and even direct to the fermentor.  It is suggested that you use CRYO HOPS® as late additions, in the whirlpool or dry hop, as the volatile aromatic compounds will be driven off if added early in the boil.

AA% Range: 24-27%
Oil Content: 6.0-7.5%

CRYO HOPS® are an innovative hop product that is made by separating the lupulin from the hop flower using cryogenic processing.  The result is a product with twice the potency of T90 pellets, with reduced astringency and vegetative material.

Note: These hops come pelletized. The powder is compressed into pellet form to make handling easier.

Peppers...
I know peppers are in the flavor profile but I had heard this hop was also very fruity. I even heard a pro raving about it on a podcast. My hazy IPA with this in the dry hop came out crazy peppery. Maybe the non-cryo version would've been less intense, but I'm going to tread carefully going forward with this one

Best ipa to date with this hop addition
We used this hop as a dry hop based on aroma characters we wanted our beer to have. It was amazing! Such a little amount give us huge flavor! This hits the nose with a strong green pepper smell and the tounge hits tropical and green pepper. It is clean and flavorful with out that bitter green taste we have experienced with some pellets. I highly recommend these as a dry hop addition!! I don't know where the previous reviewer got his information from late boil and whirlpool will give bitterness (that's what that hop addition is for) dry hop gives aroma. We used our pellets for whirl and boil then dry hopped cryo. Best ipa we have done so far. Also yes these LOOK like a pellet but press them they crumble to a powder. They are pressed powder for easier handling it says this right in the description.
