Description

This Duotight fitting with 1/2" male thread is perfect for attaching to the Copper Counterflow Chiller (WC130) and using with 1/2" female threaded Camlock and QD fittings. Compatible with EVABarrier 9.5 mm OD tubing (D1719).

Duotight fittings are high-quality push-in fittings that seal tight and offer superior sealing capacity due to the double O-ring sealing design.

High Performance Double O-Ring Design:
The secret to Duotight’s superior sealing performance comes from the fact that they use not one, but two high-quality EPDM O-rings.  The double O-ring means they have literally twice the sealing surface when compared with other push-in fittings.  This makes them more reliable and significantly reduces the chance of leakage.

The double O-ring system also means that tubing can be bent at a much tighter radius without causing leaking issues, which can be an issue with other fittings.  This combination of factors makes Duotight the most reliable push-in fittings on the market.

EPDM offers excellent chemical resistance for a longer life span. When compared with silicone and vinyl, EPDM has much better gas transmission rates, better wear resistance, and is BPA-free.

No Clamps Necessary!
We recommend cutting your tubing straight, not on an angle, to ensure the line forms a complete seal. To remove the fitting simply push in the collet and the hose can be removed.

Features:
  • Insert tubing and firmly push to connect
  • Easily release tubing by pushing in the collet
  • Suitable for both gas & beverage applications
  • Made from food-grade acetal plastic
  • Double O-rings made from highly chemical resistant EPDM
  • Locking teeth made from stainless steel
  • Pressure rated to 150 psi
  • Temperature rated to 212°F (100°C)

Please note: exposure to chlorine will degrade the acetal plastic and stainless steel these fittings are made from. Do not use in contact with bleach or other chlorinated cleaning chemicals.

Can you measure the outer diameter of the threads? Thank you
Colin Kelemen on Jan 31, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hi Colin, we can't measure the threads with enough precision to give you a detailed answer, however, this is a 1/2'' BSPP fitting which would be designed to fit other 1/2'' BSPP fittings.
Hello, I recently purchased these for my counterflow chiller and I am fitting a 1/2" female NPT stainless steel quick disconnects to the BSP threaded end. The issue is I am getting leaks at this connection no matter how much Teflon tape I add. Are there any gaskets or fittings you could suggest that would solve this issue? Thanks
Alexander Dole on Nov 18, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The H928 and H920 o-rings are probably your safest bet. A couple metal washers on the duotight side can help take up any extra space and evenly distribute pressure around the o-rings.
The video shows Duotight on a taprite regulator. What size do I need? I assume this replaces the barbed fitting? Or can Duotight work with the barb on the regulator?

Will not work out of the box if you intend on replacing existing fermzilla chiller parts
As it turns out, if you need to replace fermzilla chilling parts the 3/8 hole for the 3/8 tube doesn't pass all the way through, requiring for you to drill the otherside. I wasn't successful but I only tried one. Filed a return.
The 3/8 'hole' are too small to run a 3/8 chiller through it, it requires drilling unfortunately.

Works exactly as needed
I have this screwed into my submersible pump in my glycol chiller and have no issues with pumping through the hose attached to it.
