This Duotight to Female Beer Thread (5/8" BSP) fitting can be used to connect beverage line to faucet shanks instead of a tailpiece, and it's also a convenient option for connecting gas and beverage line to the gas in and bev out on keg couplers. Compatible with EVABarrier 8 mm OD Tubing (D1717 & D1718).

Duotight fittings are high-quality push-in fittings that seal tight and offer superior sealing capacity due to the double O-ring sealing design.

High Performance Double O-Ring Design:
The secret to Duotight’s superior sealing performance comes from the fact that they use not one, but two high-quality EPDM O-rings.  The double O-ring means they have literally twice the sealing surface when compared with other push-in fittings.  This makes them more reliable and significantly reduces the chance of leakage.

The double O-ring system also means that tubing can be bent at a much tighter radius without causing leaking issues, which can be an issue with other fittings.  This combination of factors makes Duotight the most reliable push-in fittings on the market.

EPDM offers excellent chemical resistance for a longer life span. When compared with silicone and vinyl, EPDM has much better gas transmission rates, better wear resistance, and is BPA-free.

No Clamps Necessary!
We recommend cutting your tubing straight, not on an angle, to ensure the line forms a complete seal. To remove the fitting simply push in the collet and the hose can be removed.

  • Insert tubing and firmly push to connect
  • Easily release tubing by pushing in the collet
  • Suitable for both gas & beverage applications
  • Made from food-grade acetal plastic
  • Double O-rings made from highly chemical resistant EPDM
  • Locking teeth made from stainless steel
  • Pressure rated to 150 psi

Temperature rated to 212°F (100°C)Please note: exposure to chlorine will degrade the acetal plastic and stainless steel these fittings are made from. Do not use in contact with bleach or other chlorinated cleaning chemicals.

Faucet shank and keg coupler not included.

Can this be used with a 2" shank in a draft tower? The current shanks are the Intertap ones with permanent 90 degree barbs and I am hoping to convert entirely to the Duotight fittings.

BEST ANSWER: The threads on the 2'' shank are 5/8'' BSP threads so the DUO104 unfortunately will not be compatible. However, we will be offering the short tower shanks that have Duotight compatible barbs very soon!
i have this tubing, will it fit with this? Accuflex Bev-Seal Ultra beer line. 3/16' ID
Tom H on Mar 27, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I am personally unfamiliar with the tubing you’re going to use. If the OD is 5/16” and you have a straight cut, push your tubing in until it totally stops. Run a leak test using water. If you need to remove the tubing, the Duotight fitting will release with pressure applied to the circular collar where the tubing is inserted and a firm pull on the tubing. If the duotight fitting on your particular tubing leaks, I recommend what I use and got on on this website, EVABarrier 8mm tubing, D1717 or D1718.
I want to use these in my keezer build. what size shanks should I buy to go through 2x4 leaving enough room to connect these?
John Fitt on May 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If you are going through the 2" side of the board then you will be fine with using the 3.5 or 4 inch shank. There will be plenty of space for the lock nut and the tube fitting.
Will this duotight fitting fit this shank? https://www.morebeer.com/products/beer-faucet-shank-5.html Also, do you know when this will be back in stock?
Adam Lund on Jun 25, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This is the correct duotight fitting for beer shanks as well as sanke keg couplers commonly referred to as "Beer Thread".
Will this work with my D1244A Beer Faucet Shank? Would be my answer since EVA tubing will not work with the tail piece barb.

They leak, even with an elbow to reduce tension
I bought a few of these princesses with the intention of slowly converting my keezer from barbed tailpieces with the Evabarrier stretched over them + Oetiker clamp, to all duotight. Big mistake. Any amount of leakage is not okay, because a steady drip will put your precious beer on your keezer and floor.
What I'm noticing is that any kind of bend or deflection in the line will unseat the fitting (for example if you are adding a keg in, and have to move the lines for a moment), it will range from drip to spray. They just don't form a quality seat.
The worst part is if you make a mistake, or want to try re-seating, good luck getting the evabarrier out of there. I even bought the special tools to remove them, and the little clip-locks. I've wasted like $50 on these fittings. I'm going back to barbs and Oetiker clamps.
I only gave this two stars in the event you have a perfectly plumbed set of lines that can punch straight in and never see any deflection. If princess always gets her way, she probably works just fine.

Not usful for me
Was hoping to be able to change between my corny kegs and Sanke kegs. On my previous kegerator I had put FFL fittings on the beer lines and had MFL ball locks as well as MFL 5/16th fitting so I could easily switch between homebrew and commercial kegs. These fittings do not allow you to do so.

Does what it looks like very well
This thing is perfect for the use case - a simplified DuoTight connection at the end of a tap shank or on a Sankey keg (I think, haven't tried that but the threading should be the same).

DuoTight Connectors
The DuoTight fittings are the way to go, but with the myriad of sizes for hoses and fittings, regulator barb fittings, keg line requirements for compessation of PSI, metric vs standard, and other connector requirements, it can be really confusing, and over buying will result. It would be nice if there were some standard guide how to employ these fittings, but I am glad with the purchase, nonetheless.

Works as promised
I upgraded to these and love how simple they are to use.
Just make sure you cut the tube going in very square. My first cut has a little bit on an angle and it leaked. I squared it up and it's been perfect.

I like them, but they are sensitive
First off, I love the ease of the Duotight connectors for changing couplers/disconnects if you switch between commercial kegs and ball lock kegs. What I don't like is how easy it is to over-tighten the fittings and cause a hairline crack that eventually leaks gas - whether right away or after some time/pressure.
