Description

This Duotight fitting with 1/4" Flare is perfect for flared gas and beverage ball lock and pin lock disconnects. It can also be used to connect gas line to the flare fitting found on the KOMOS® CO2 Regulator. Compatible with EVABarrier 8 mm OD Tubing (D1717 & D1718).

The Duotight fitting does not require a flare washer. See the instructions below for how to ensure a leak-free connection when attaching to flare fittings.

Duotight fittings are high-quality push-in fittings that seal tight and offer superior sealing capacity due to the double O-ring sealing design.

High Performance Double O-Ring Design:
The secret to Duotight’s superior sealing performance comes from the fact that they use not one, but two high-quality EPDM O-rings.  The double O-ring means they have literally twice the sealing surface when compared with other push-in fittings.  This makes them more reliable and significantly reduces the chance of leakage.

The double O-ring system also means that tubing can be bent at a much tighter radius without causing leaking issues, which can be an issue with other fittings.  This combination of factors makes Duotight the most reliable push-in fittings on the market.

EPDM offers excellent chemical resistance for a longer life span. When compared with silicone and vinyl, EPDM has much better gas transmission rates, better wear resistance, and is BPA-free.

No Clamps Necessary!
We recommend cutting your tubing straight, not on an angle, to ensure the line forms a complete seal. To remove the fitting simply push in the collet and the hose can be removed.

Features:
  • Insert tubing and firmly push to connect
  • Easily release tubing by pushing in the collet
  • Suitable for both gas & beverage applications
  • Made from food-grade acetal plastic
  • Double O-rings made from highly chemical resistant EPDM
  • Locking teeth made from stainless steel
  • Pressure rated to 150 psi
  • Temperature rated to 212°F (100°C)

Please note: exposure to chlorine will degrade the acetal plastic and stainless steel these fittings are made from. Do not use in contact with bleach or other chlorinated cleaning chemicals.

Ball lock fitting and regulator not included.

Do these fittings work with any tubing or do I have to "retube" my kegarator with the EVA tubing?
Clifton Shoemaker on Jul 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You would need tube inserts to use these fittings on soft vinyl tubing.
I see how this attaches to tubing. How does it attach to the ball lock keg fitting?
david semo on Sep 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi David:
The DUO106 connects to a 1/4" flare fitting. It threads onto MoreBeer's KEG720, KEG730 or others with a 1/4 male flare fitting. I didn't use a washer with theKEG730. Also I picked up a foot of 8mm (5/16") tubing at the local Ace Hardware for 19 cents, since I was only using the DUO106 with the Blotie FE960 spunding valve and there was to be no contact with beer.
Anyone have any luck converting the barb gas outs to 1/4 flare on the Elite Series Four Product Secondary Regulator with this adaptor? If converted, then would work perfectly with a duotight DUO106

Brass Flare Fitting - 1/4 in. Flare x 1/4 in. MPT
Brass Flare Fitting - 1/4 in. Flare x 1/4 in. MPT
BEST ANSWER: I made the change over one year ago and everything has worked great. Make sure you also replace the existing plastic gas line with new duotight plastic gas line. In my case, I added duotight fittings and plastic lines for both the gas in and beer out.

Finger Tight Plus 1/4 Turn, Any More Will Wreck The Fitting
Disappointed with the installation instructions... that say finger tight plus 180º (1/2 turn) more. I did exactly that with a quality CM Becker ball lock but found it distorted the Duotight and pulled the plastic threads. I ruined one fitting by exactly following those instructions... Subsequently, I found the ideal torque is finger tight plus 90º (1/4 turn) more. That seals properly, keeps the fitting intact, and it doesn't back off the threads... Five stars for the part - Zero stars for the installation instructions.

A system-wide upgrade worth making
This small, cheap, easy device is simple and quick to install, works flawlessly, and makes life a lot easier than hose barbs, which seem like caveman tech now that I'm living that ~duotight life~. Grab this, and never look back

Ease to use fittings
Easy to make leak-proof connections but after using them once, one of the teeth that holds tubing broke off on all of them. I used one for holding about 25 psi on fermentation and another one for pressure testing at 5 psi. I think the spec for these are rated higher than the pressure I used at. Didn't really stress them or yank of the tubes. Seems like manufacturing defect.

Brilliant engineering
This and all Duotight fittings are good upgrades from standard swivel nut attachments along with Evabarrier tubing. No more forcing thick tubing onto the QD and clamping down. Takes the drudgery out of the routine disassembling and cleaning of draft lines.

Easiest way to secure EVABarrier tubing for gas in or product lines.
These are fantastic fittings that allow EVABarrier tubing users a quick, leakproof gas in or product out connection for your keg connections. They can also quickly create a "piggyback" transfer line for pressure transfer to a keg from another keg or you could use them to build a cleaning rig to clean up your serving lines in a keezer. Just put your solution in a pressurized growler and a small inline pump - clean your lines quick. Lots of uses, so get a lot of these little guys if you're using EVABarrier tubing.

Sometimes you need a washer
Sometimes requires a flare washer for metal male flare fittings. Yes, I followed the instructions, hand-tightend the fitting, checked for leaks, turned 180 degrees with a wrench, checked for leaks, etc. Would only seal with a washer. Of course it works with pin or ball lock adapters, they have a built-in washer.
