Description

The Gen 2 DigiBoil features two distinct updates that are not currently pictured in the primary images. The stainless steel lid has been upgraded to a glass lid, allowing you to observe and monitor boil activity. The rubber feet have been replaced with a plastic base that provides improved stability and slightly raises the unit for better ground clearance. Updated images coming soon.

  • The most affordable all-in-one automated all-grain brewing system!
  • Mash grains and boil wort in a single vessel
  • External pump kit for recirculating mash will improve efficiency, consistency, and clarity
  • DigiBoil electric kettle automatically maintains mash temperatures with the digital controller
  • Dual heating elements combine for 1500W of power

The DigiMash system represents the best value in electric all-grain brewing you'll find. With a 9-gallon DigiBoil electric kettle and the DigiMash stainless steel mashing accessory pack included, this is by far the most affordable way to get into electric all-grain brewing. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the BrewZilla, but it does have everything you need to mash and boil all in one unit.

With the Recirculation Pump Kit, you can recirculate sweet wort during the mash to improve starch conversion, maintain a consistent temperature throughout the mash, and improve the clarity. The pump can also be used to move water around your brewery if you use a secondary vessel to hold sparge water, or to transfer the wort from your kettle to your fermenter. With the optional Whirlpool Arm, you can also swap out the Recirculation Arm and use your pump kit to whirlpool after the boil.

If you're deciding between the DigiMash and the BrewZilla, there are a couple of key differences worth noting. One of our favorite features of the BrewZilla is the programmable mash steps and delayed start, which the DigiMash does not have. You can still step mash by simply raising the temperature manually on the controller, but the automatic steps are a convenient feature if you want to set it and forget it.

One advantage that this setup has over the BrewZilla is that the pump is external. This makes cleaning and fixing pump issues much easier, as you can quickly take apart the pump head to clean and clear out residual gunk at the end of each brew day.

This model comes with the 35L DigiBoil, which has two built-in heating elements that run off a 110V plug. One element is 1000w and the other is 500w for a combined 1500 watts! The elements can be individually controlled, allowing you to use a single element to gently hold temperatures, or engage both elements to quickly go from mash temp to boiling. Temperatures are set and automatically maintained through the digital control panel. Simply set your desired temperature and flip on the heating element(s).

how do I use the recirculation arm? It does not fit into the little hole on the digiboil lid.
Ryland Matthews on Dec 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: To use the recirculation arm you can either remove the lid or attach a piece of tubing to the end of the recirculation arm and guide that through the hole in the lid.
Can you buy the pump kit on its own to add to an existing Digiboil?
Wade Merritt on Oct 23, 2022
The description says: "With the optional Whirlpool Arm, you can also swap out the Recirculation Arm and use your pump kit to whirlpool after the boil."

How would the BrewZilla Whirlpool Arm attach to the DigiMash system?
Scott Jordan on Oct 22, 2020
BEST ANSWER: In the same way the Recirculation Arm is used with the DigiMash system, the Whirlpool Arm can be hung on the rim of the kettle.

Easy temperature control
Easier to control the temp then with my three tier propane system, the mash temp was consistent as long as the recirculating pump was running and clean up was much quicker. I would recommend this product. Only issue is the slow heat up time.

Good quality great value
This brewing system addresses all of the problems that I have had trying to brew on a stove top, including not getting the grain bag stuck in the brewing pot, controlling temperature, stirring the grains while standing on a stepstool. It reduced the work and mess, by a factor of 10! Plus, now I can brew out on my deck. I don't need programmable schedules, changing the setpoint is easy. Draining is a cinch with malt pipe supports.

Very Good for the Money
I'm still dialing it in will do my 3rd recipe this weekend. My 1st brew I used a grain bag and had no temperature differential from top to bottom. My second brew I didn't use the bag and it varied as much as 5 degrees. I was able to boil 7 gallons of wort @ a rate of 12% /hr. I'm very pleased with the system. I will be using the bag in future brews. This shortens my brew day by several hours. I'd say if there is a drawback it might be difficult to do really big beers as its pretty full with a 12 lb grain bill you could go more than this but I don't know about 18 lbs. Still I would recommend this system to anyone who wants to simplify their brewday and as always I would recommend you get it and all your gear and brewing supplies from morebeer they are the best.
