The DigiBoil is a versatile electric kettle that can be used as a standalone unit or integrated into your current brew system to serve a variety of functions. Easily brew 5-gallon extract batches. Use it to preheat your strike water or sparge water to a precise temperature. Pair it with a pump and heat exchanger to use it for HERMS brewing. Or slap on a still top lid and condenser for distilling! With so many ways to use the DigiBoil, and an affordable price tag to boot, it's hard not to get excited about this electric kettle!

The Gen 2 DigiBoil features an upgraded glass lid, allowing you to monitor your heated or boiling liquid.

Interested in using the DigiBoil for all-grain brewing? With the Mash Upgrade Kit, you can easily convert the DigiBoil into an electric mash tun!

This DigiBoil model has two built-in heating elements that run off a 220V plug. One element is 1900w and the other is 500w for a combined 2400 watts! The elements can be individually controlled, allowing you to use a single element to gently hold temperatures, or engage both elements to quickly go from steeping temp to boiling. Temperatures are set and automatically maintained through the digital control panel. Simply set your desired temperature and flip on the heating element(s).

If you have access to 220V power, this is definitely the unit we recommend. Although 110V power is enough to get up to boil, 220V will get you there faster and provide a much more vigorous boil.

Integrated stainless ball valve comes with a 13mm barb (approx. 1/2"). The barb can be removed to attach 1/2" FPT fittings if desired.

Can you post a picture of the 220v plug so those thinking about buying this can have the proper outlet installed?
Weston Slate on Feb 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The plug is a standard NEMA 6-30P. Since these are standard any NEMA 6-30R will be a perfect, guaranteed fit. If you have a receptacle already, it will have the rating and name stamped on it either of the outside or the inside.
What are the dimensions on this kettle?

Do you plan to make a 4 wire version of the 220v digiboil? Most newer homes have 4 wire 240 plugs and this unit is 3 wire which would require running a new circuit instead of using existing one ie.. The dryer plug
Larry J Moore on Jan 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: You could also make an adapter plug with a male plug like your drier; a piece of 10 gauge SO cable; and a female plug for you digiboil.
Just make sure you use the two black (or black and red) wires and the green wire (to ground) the white is the common and isn't used on the digiboil.
Solution for dryer plug with 4 wire wall plug in?
Kevin on Oct 7, 2021
BEST ANSWER: My dryer outlet was a different 220 outlet. So I went on Amazon and they have adapters so that this plug can fit any other type of 220 outlet. If you don’t have access to a 220 power source they make 110 version to fit any standard grounded outlet. (Less power, longer to boil)

Pretty disappointing heat controller
Maybe this will work at sea-level where the wort boils at 212F, but at just a few thousand feet MSL the wort boils around 209F, and with the controller only able to adjust in 2F increments, your wort is either uncontrollably boiling or not boiling at all. I've used this for two batches and confirmed that the boil is uncontrollable. Sorry for the bad review.

The kettle is pretty awesome, I have the 220v version with jacket. I get to strike temps and boil in a similar time to my old propane burner. I was able to brew in my garage last weekend which was cool. I bought a BIAB mesh bag and and used that to get 74% extraction eff. The included valve and barbed fitting is nice.

Great small batch kettle
The DigiBoil kettle is a very good product for the price. Its temperature control is excellent. We have purchase two and have made 100’s of batches without problems.

Nicely Controlled Heating Kettle
Worked very well for steeping grain and moving up to boil with the wattage available on the 240v unit. Only complaint is the 600 watt heater is just a bit under powered for maintaining a good 5 gallon boil. Had to turn on 1900 watt heater periodically to bump up the boil rate and then turn back to the 600 watt heater. Otherwise a great unit. Easy to make a cord to use an electric dryer outlet for the 240v power.

Best for the money
For the money, this really is the best bang for the buck. I have used it twice with great results. I have been very happy with my Brewzilla. This is a slimmed down model of that. Seems to work really well with my PID setup too.

Great for Brew in a Bag brewing
Have only used it once so far. But worked perfectly. The temp was consistent within 2 degrees. Worked great for the mash. Was a little trickier during the boil. I had to run it slightly high and leave the lid mostly open to maintain a boil without boiling over.
