Description

Originally created for the MoreBeer! Stainless Steel Conical Fermenter that was discontinued in 2020, but can be used with any TC conical.

The conical comes standard with a stopper and airlock. However, many brewers (including many here at MoreBeer!) wish to run a blow off tube into a bucket of water. This kit replaces the stopper and airlock with 6 feet of 1 inch tubing.

Connect the included 1.5" tri-clamp barb to the top of your domed lid with the included clamp and gasket. Run the tubing to a bucket with StarSan. If the length of tubing is longer than you need, just trim to the desired length (garden clippers work best.)

Could use some tweaking.
As the other review says, most of the flaws with this item could be corrected with an elbow instead of using a barb. The Blow off tube needs to stick up straight for almost a foot to not crimp it closed. The box was also too small for the item, when I opened it the hose was crimped closed in two different spots. It took quite a long time to get the tube straight enough to think about using. This Item will be going back. There are too many cons to not want my $40 back.

Works fine. Could be better.
This blow off assembly works very well. A 90 degree elbow hose fitting instead of the straight hose fitting that comes with the item would make it perfect.
