BEST ANSWER: The barb and the valve appear to be two pieces on my regulator so it seems possible. If you contact Taprite directly they could give you a definitive answer as to whether the other barb would thread on properly.
I want to hook this up to my Blichmann QuickCarb 1/4" flare fitting. What exact fitting to do I need to get this connected properly?

BEST ANSWER: Morebeer part number D1121 would replace the barbed fitting that comes on the regulator in question.
I'd like to use Duotight fittings and "EVABarrier Double Wall Draft Tubing - 6 mm ID x 9.5 mm OD" for my gas line. What is the best way to adapt the fitting on this regulator to Duotight?

BEST ANSWER: The 6mm tubing is approximately 1/4" which will be tough to fit over the barb fitting on this regulator. You might be able to stretch it if you heat up the tubing in hot water before pushing it on the barb. Hopefully that helps.
What size gas line can I attach to it?

BEST ANSWER: The barb is 5/16" OD so we recommend a 5/16" hose. You can use a smaller tube if you heat it up, or a larger tube if you clamp it down. It is also possible to remove the barb and install your own fitting. The regular has 1/4" FPT threading which is pretty standard and available.
What size barb does it have? Not looking for guesses but an actual size.

How do I get the front knob unstuck? I think I over-tightened the red knob to the off position. Now it seems to slip so I cannot release gas.

BEST ANSWER: I have this regulator. The regulator has a pull/push feature. Pull out on knob to adjust pressure. Push knob in to lock it in position. When in the OUT position, there should be ~1/4" gap between knob and regulator body. When pushed in, knob will almost, if not, contact regulator body. Other than that, I have not had any issue with regulator performance. I hope this information is useful for you.- Dave

BEST ANSWER: Make sure you've got a gasket inside where it screws onto the CO2 tank. That's the most-common issue for gas leaks with regulators. Otherwise you may want to send it back?
I have this regulator but really wish it had a manual pressure relief valve. Is there any way to add something inline
that would do the trick?

BEST ANSWER: one way to add an inline PRV:
1. Cut the 5/16” outlet tube an inch or two from the regulator.
2. insert a 1/4” fpt Tee with two 1/4” mpt hose barbs (for 5/16” tube)
and
3. fasten PressureReliefValve into one leg of the Tee

BEST ANSWER: The best way is to get a secondary regulator (D1067A). This is designed to attach to a tube from the first regulator's splitter or manifold. Unfortunately, that secondary regulator is not deigned to be directly threaded into the first regulator.
Is the shutoff valve 1/4" FPT? It says that it is a 5/16" barb, but I want to be able to change it to 1/4" flare to adapt to DuoTight.

BEST ANSWER: The shutoff valve is 1/4” MPT x 5/16” barb. You could remove it and replace it with a 1/4” MPT x 1/4” MPT valve, and then add a 1/4” FPT x flare adapter.

Hello, I have this regulator, and the built-in gasket where the regulator connects to the CO2 tank has gotten damaged and fell out, is it possible to replace this gasket? Where might I find one?

Do you sell replacement o rings? It looks like there was one in my regulator where it attaches to the CO2 tank but has fallen out. It's only brass metal in there now.

BEST ANSWER: This regulator doesn't require the use of the classic orings. instead there are gaskets built into the connection to the CO2 supply.

My old regulator was leaky, had a broken glass and was hard to adjust. This is not just new, but easy to read, easy to use and affordable. So good, I got a second for my charging tank.

Does the job, rock solid.
I now have two of these, the first one has been trouble free for years now, we use it as part of a DIY carbonator (way more cost effective and less polluting than a sodastream). The second one is also doing a great job for my in-laws.

Combine this with a good hose and metal coupler as well as a carbacap, and there you go.

Made well but put together sloppily!
Lost a soda stream tank of co2 to a slow leak from both gauges. Sprayed soapy water on them and both blew bubbles. When I removed them I noticed very poor use of Teflon tape on the threads, if it even was Teflon tape. I recommend redoing all connections with their products!

When I tried to set the psi for my Pale Ale, I couldn’t get it to go higher than 12psi. That’s ok for this beer, but if I ever need it to allow more CO2, I won’t be able to. I followed the online directions from the enclosed QR code, but couldn’t see how to increase the psi. Very frustrating!
