I have to put together a second gas beer dispensing system so that I can dispense home brew on my boat when I am in Juneau. I am questioning my decision after brewing yesterday, outside in the wind and driving rain. I went to the brewery here and bought a five gallon keg of Big Mountain Pale Ale for $55

Can this adapter replace the barb fitting to allow DuoTight connection? https://www.morebeer.com/products/duotight-pushin-fitting-8-mm-516-14-mpt.html

BEST ANSWER: Hi Tyson,
I have had this regulator for a while and have had no problems. In regards to your question and information provided; use a simple CO2 hose off the barb that exist and duo tight would connect. to the CO2 hose. I am curious what you are running the regulator too? This regulator screws directly to the CO2 tank and form the barb directly to a keg.
I have only used duo connections on my pressurized fermentation. In that case the small CO2 tank with a regulator I come off the barb end with a piece of hose to the pressure fermenter and have a Duo connect blow tie spunding valve to regulate pressure in the vessel. I hope this helps.
If you are looking a spunding valve, I would recommend:SPUNDit 2.0 Spunding Valve
Hands down better than the Blow tie.
I hope this helps

So far even in cold conditions it works well with little variance
Looks pretty slick and so far the adjustment is easily done with only your hand.
Displacing c02 and beer as I fill the keg with little oxygen absorption
After it’s all kegged the regulator works well in the keezer at beer serving temp

Great price, but does not go high enough for what I'm using it for: ideal PSI for soda water is 55, but this guage only goes to 40.

Best Regulator at The Best Price
In 2018 I purchased 3 of the same regulators for "The Crafty Canary Brewery". They have performed perfectly. I ordered another one for Sandia Brewing, which is my brewery, as well as the experimental brewery for the Crafty Canary Brewery. I look forward to kegging beer in the near future.

Just Right
I bought this after my MKIII failed after 1 year. Just right features and price point.

Note: was very handy for me that the output flare was not sealed to the unit so that I could replace with MFL fitting.

Thought it was a little rough. The shut off value was sloppy but hasn't leaked. It took a few days to
adjust the pressure it kept fluctuating. Seems to be ok now.

disappointed
This is the only CO2 regulator that I have ever owned. It appears to hold pressure, though I have some major complaints that would cause me to look elsewhere when I eventually upgrade or expand.
-The dial is very sticky. It has a large hexagonal head that I can sometimes turn by hand, sometimes need pliers to grip. So it's not a smooth adjustment that you might want.
-The adjustment is finicky. It might take an entire turn to go from 10psi to 11psi but then only a tenth of a turn to go from 11psi to 12psi.
- While I was force carbonating, I found it difficult to maintain 25psi. I would set the regulator to 25psi, come back 2 hours later, and see it at 20. If I turned it back up to 25, it might drift up to 28 or 30 before falling back down to 25 (over the course of 15 minutes). Soapy water did not reveal any leaks.
I would guess that the internal mechanisms simply need lubrication. That's silly, since this was brand new when I bought it. If that's not the issue, it is a poorly made product...

1 star for the product quality and 5 stars for Morebeer
Pay the extra money for the taprite. I don't think mine lasted a month before one of the gauges started uncontrollably spinning any time the gas was switched on. Morebeer replaced it with the taprite because it was a known issue. Thanks MB!

Middle of the road regulator
I have three different regulators. This one is the most convenient to use because it has a knob that can be adjusted by hand (my other regulators require a screw driver). Fine adjustments are hit or miss. Eventually I can get it dialed in, but it rarely happens on the first try. It tends to drift a little before settling into a steady pressure.
