Description

If you’re searching for an economical CO2 regulator that still offers reliable performance and great durability, this Fermentap Dual Gauge CO2 Regulator is just the thing.

This CO2 regulator regulator features hand-adjustable pressure that doesn’t require any tools, as well as a built-in tank gasket so that you won’t have to change the tank without one. The 30 PSI low pressure gauge offers a more precise range for dispensing beer at home when compared to the standard 60 PSI gauge, and the built-in pressure relief valve blows off at 40 PSI for added safety. With its chrome-plated brass construction, this Fermentap Dual Gauge CO2 Regulator will offer years of rust-free, reliable use.
C02 Warning: Warning, this product is a gas that is under pressure. Please make sure that when in use the bottle remains in an upright position. Please use extreme caution when using.

disappointed
This is the only CO2 regulator that I have ever owned. It appears to hold pressure, though I have some major complaints that would cause me to look elsewhere when I eventually upgrade or expand.
-The dial is very sticky. It has a large hexagonal head that I can sometimes turn by hand, sometimes need pliers to grip. So it's not a smooth adjustment that you might want.
-The adjustment is finicky. It might take an entire turn to go from 10psi to 11psi but then only a tenth of a turn to go from 11psi to 12psi.
- While I was force carbonating, I found it difficult to maintain 25psi. I would set the regulator to 25psi, come back 2 hours later, and see it at 20. If I turned it back up to 25, it might drift up to 28 or 30 before falling back down to 25 (over the course of 15 minutes). Soapy water did not reveal any leaks.
I would guess that the internal mechanisms simply need lubrication. That's silly, since this was brand new when I bought it. If that's not the issue, it is a poorly made product...

1 star for the product quality and 5 stars for Morebeer
Pay the extra money for the taprite. I don't think mine lasted a month before one of the gauges started uncontrollably spinning any time the gas was switched on. Morebeer replaced it with the taprite because it was a known issue. Thanks MB!

Middle of the road regulator
I have three different regulators. This one is the most convenient to use because it has a knob that can be adjusted by hand (my other regulators require a screw driver). Fine adjustments are hit or miss. Eventually I can get it dialed in, but it rarely happens on the first try. It tends to drift a little before settling into a steady pressure.

Good Budget Reg.
I got this as a reg for a 20lb CO2 tank I use just for transfers, racking, keg purges, etc. Works great for that, and is exactly what I wanted. Expect budget quality for $45 and you'll be happy. If you want something with better fit & finish (which I would for my dispensing setup) then spend $20 more and buy the upgraded reg.

Low Price
I am only giving it four stars for now. I purchased this on sale and am keeping it as a back up. So I can't give it 5 stars until I have proven its ability. The price is low though, so it has that going for it.

It's good for the price
My first one stopped working and Morebeer sent me out a replacement and its been working great so far.

Decent regulator
This works well for me at the price. I have a leak somewhere but I am still determining if it is the regulator or the keg.

Big and heavy
This regulator was massive. It's incredibly heavy as compared to the Taprite regs. The PSI meter stops at 30 and the unit overall not what I had hoped it would be. Definitely sending back.

Does the job, but...
I really don't like the knob on this regulator. This is the first and only regulator I've purchased as I am new to kegging. The knob is hard to turn at times and just generally difficult to get right. As others have said, it can be quirky at higher pressures and I find myself burping the relief valve to double check the pressure every time I check on it as it has gotten stuck many times.

You get what you pay for
This is a very affordable regulator, however, it is also low quality. The regulator is very sensitive to adjust.

I have been using mine for 5 Month when the regulator was not able to maintain the secondary pressure. You could set the pressure to 10 psi and then watch it climb to 30 psi over the next 5 min. More Beer warranted the product with no problems and sent me a new regulator. Great warranty from More Beer and great customer service.
