Citra® Session Pale Ale - All Grain Beer Brewing Kit (5 Gallons)

Citra® Session Pale Ale - All Grain Beer Brewing Kit (5 Gallons)

Please select from the following option(s) to see pricing and availability.

One of our most refreshing ingredient kits available!  The Citra® Session is a low ABV, low SRM pale ale.  The thing we love the most about this kit is that the Citra® hop profile comes through beautifully and is able to shine due to a basic malt bill, low ABV, and clean bitterness from our magnum hops.

If you're looking for a clean, hoppy beer that you'd be able to have a couple of without the IPA buzz, the Citra® Session Pale Ale should definitely be on your radar!

Whats the estimated final gravity of this beer? Im on day 10 of fermentation with White Labs WLP001 and only down to 1.020. I hit my OG perfectly this time.
Thanks Erik
erik legenhausen on Mar 17, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I would keep it in the fermentor for atleast 18 to 21days, your FG should be down around 1.012. next time use a dry yeast always seems to work better
I have question about adding hops at the end of the boil. I use a bag for my hops during the boil. This recipe instructs to add hops at the end of the boil. Do I keep them in just during the cool down process, or do I take them out when I put in the fermenter?
Frank on Nov 24, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I leave the hop bag in the kettle through the cooling and transfer process. After the kettle is empty, i remove the bag and clean it.

A nice aroma of Citra
I brewed this delightful ale a month ago. I added a pound more 2 row malt and increased the dry hopped Citra to 3 oz from kit 1 oz (I like Citra) and used only two days dry hopping right before cold crash. I also reduced the late addition Citra in boil since I'm more interested in aroma than bitterness (calculated 47 IBU). I got OG of 1.0504 and FG of 1.0080 using US-05 and some glucoamylase in mash to reduce complex sugars and increase dryness. Results are very tasty. Just pouring it from the keg you can smell the aroma and boy does it make you thirsty. It's gonna be a good summer.

Crisp, light and packed with citrusy flavors....blown away!
Having a brother who has brewed amazing beer for years I figured it was time to learn and this kit was my first ever purchase. This is exactly what I was looking for in a drinkable all day session ale. Very crisp, low bitterness and packed with a citrusy punch for the nose and mouth. BIAB then fermented for 13 days then force carb’d in the corny. I’m so impressed and can’t wait for friends and family to try this tomorrow during the super bowl! This beer will probably be a regular in the keezer!
Day 5 fermenter
Day two after force carb’d...forgot to mention it came in at 4.45%

Perfect Summer Beer
I made this for a party of "non-beer drinkers" and they all loved it. Did not get one bad review. Even my neighbor that only drinks light american domestics came back for a second pint.

Turned out fantastic! The Citra came through beautifully, But be careful on your Efficiency, I hit 6.2 ABV, a little high on a session.
