Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

? How do you know what yeast to use from your suggestions.i know the difference between the dry and liquid.do the dry yeasts make the beer differant tasting or are they all comparable
Don will on Jul 1, 2021
Citra Sessions has been my go to beer lately. It has the IPA flavor but not the alcohol so I can drink twice as much. I use the WLP001 California ale yeast that MoreBeer recommends. I've also tried the WY1056 American Ale Yeast and didn't notice a difference.

I started brewing with dry yeast many many years ago and my beer really improved when I switched to liquid. There's much more of a selection of dry yeast now a days so it may be worth trying. I recycle (wash) the yeast and get about five batches out of a packet so cost is not much of an issue to me.
Good luck,
?Recipe says there is 6 lbs.of dry malt extract in kit,i recieved 5 lbs is this a typo or did i not recieve the whole kit.i dont want to brew if i am short on ingredients.
Don will on Jul 9, 2021
BEST ANSWER: The recipe I had called for 6 pounds of Liquid Malt Exract (LME). If you ordered Dry Malt Extract (DME), that would be 5 pounds. 5 pounds of DME is equal to 6 pounds of LME.
So, yep, you have the right amount.

This is by far one of the best beers I've ever brewed. I kegged this beer and it was gone 2 weeks after it carbonated.

Exactly what it says it is
If you're looking for a good, drink-it-every-day session IPA, look no further. This is the beer for you. It's easy to make and very easy drinking. I'm making it a permanent on-tap choice in my kegerator.

#1 problem, can't make it fast enough!! Believe I added 1 cup Quaker rolled oats to the specialty grains, = lace from top to bottom! Best beer I've had! Better than all day IPA hands down! Two week bottle conditioning + 1 week cold conditioning for best results. Will be my new staple beer. Boost %' add a little unrefined cane sugar to the end of the boil.

Flavorful session Ale
This is a very good low alcohol ale. I added an ounce of Amarillo to the dry hop of this ale. Makes a very nice hoppy finish.

Great Solid beer
Citra is one of my favorite hops, so this beer was killer. Not overpowering (it is a sessions), but still bringing home the flavor.
Decent price too. Good bang for the buck.

Great flavor, body, and head. This was my first home brew and it was a great success! I would have paid much more for a case of this at the distributor and had the pride of doing it myself. Highly recommended and will purchase again.

A Personal Favorite
This kit is a personal favorite of mine and of my friends who hang out near the keg. I brew it for every Thanksgiving now and have it out while deep frying turkeys in my backyard. So far, no keg of this beer has every made it until Black Friday. Easy to brew with consistently good results every time. It is also good with some of the Citra hops substituted with Amarillo hops. :)
