pressurized transfer with my chronical fermenter
James S on Nov 17, 2018
I purchased a used SSBrewtech 7 gal fermenter and wanted to do pressurized transfers to kegs. I don't have a C02 guage that reads finer than the 60 psi gauge. I don't want to over-pressurize the fermenter so this nifty tool should work great for pressure relief.

can this transfer wort to conical?
randy beeksma on Mar 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Sure it can, it's a normal hose barb fitting with an added pressure relief valve. But you could also use a regular hose barb without pressure relief valve
What size is the hose barb?
Christopher Melcher on Jan 25, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hello Christopher, the hose barb is 3/8''.

Exactly what I needed for modified Bucket Buddy
I modified the lid of my Heated Bucket Buddy (which is amazing btw) to do oxygen free transfers. Works great, and the pressure release valve works well (saved my ass once).

I can also use this for a blow-off fitting in place of airlock.

This thing is a crucial piece of my setup!

This thing sucks. It leaked even when the C02 was shut off. Maybe we were doing it wrong. We have a gage on the C02 tank so what's the deal. We had to put a clamp on it so we could transfer beer. It worked great then. Transfered and didn't leak. Do you make one without the release valve.

Response from MoreFlavor
Hello Randy - The relief valve is too ensure there isn't a build up of pressure in a non pressure rated vessel. Also it shouldn't take more than a few pounds to get a siphon flowing.
