To use, first insert plastic or cork champagne stopper. Set a champagne wire on top, grasp the protruging metal loop, and twist to secure.

BEST ANSWER: use them all the time...including today...works fine especially if the plastic stopper is ribbed as the 4 long sides slide right into the ribs

These work very well on the white stoppers. I just put up thirty bottles of elderberry bubbly wine using these.

Thes worked well with the white stoppers. I only broke one, but I twisted it too much.

wire hoods

These hoods are like all hoods I've tried, you have to be careful not to over tighten them to avoid snapping the wire. I think at least the wire tie portion could be stronger.
