Cellar Craft Sterling Collection Wine Making Kit - California Reserve Pinot Noir
Item currently out of stock

Are you a homebrewer interested in expanding your fermentation hobby?  Well, why not jump into winemaking!  Our wine kits are an excellent way to make high quality wine at home, without requiring all of the large equipment that wineries use.  We have dozens to choose from, so no matter what your favorite type of wine, we're certain to have a kit you'll like!

Cellar Craft's Sterling Collection red wine kits are the only budget-level red wine kits on the market that include a "virgin," never-processed crushed grape pack to include in the fermentation. Made entirely from region-specific varietal juice and concentrate, and skins from the same harvest lots that the juice comes from, these kits produce a true varietal wine on a short timeline! Designed to be bottled in 5 weeks, these kits will benefit from an additional 6-12 months of cellaring in the bottle.
Makes 6 gallons, or 2 cases, of finished wine

Cellar Craft's Description

We use 10.5 liters of California Pinot Noir must (and an accent of Pinotage) fermented on a 1.5 liter virgin California Pinot Noir crushed grape pack for this bright and fruity wine. Expect to enjoy lively black cherry and cranberry aromas and flavours against subtle spice and almond in the background. A few months of ageing will subdue the oak and tannins to let the fruit shine and define the medium-length finish. May be cellared for a year or more. The soft, light to medium-bodied wine may be lightly chilled and enjoyed as an aperitif, or serve with chicken, pork, or simple beef dishes (not recommended for your best steaks or rich, braised foods). Pairs well with salmon.

Great Stuff!
Really good pinot noir. Use the RC212 yeast instead of the EC1118 for a better Pinot Noir flavor!

Oh Yes, Cellar Craft!
This was my first experience making wine. I, of course, did a fair amount of research and chose the Cellar Craft Pinot Noir kit. I was most impressed at the step my step directions as a first time wine maker and important cautions highlighted at different junctures.
My goal for this first batch was just not to screw it up! I think the careful directions very much contributed to my success, and have just purchased my next Cellar Craft kit with my new confidence! My Pinot is now aging and based on my early taste tests, I'm anticipating some great wine in about six months.

Very nice Pinot
Made this kit over a year ago. Had the first bottle a month or two after bottling and it was OK. However, after 10-12 months it became really nice. Balanced, nice aroma and taste; a good pinot with salmon and pasta dishes. Bought another kit recently because we liked it so well.

Amazing wine
This wine has been amazing. I am down to my last 6 bottles and am sad to say that aging is 4 months and counting. Cellar Craft supplies my last 2 kits, the Old Zin and this one. When I replenish my supply I will add another Cellar Craft Pinot Noir and something new.
