Description

A new American high alpha hop, Calypso™ is also heavily used for its soft aromatics. You'll get a pleasantly fruity aroma of apple, pear, and citrus that adds a crisp flavor to Pale Ales, IPAs, and Stouts. You will also get some tropical fruit flavors.

Solid dual use hop
Did 3 lagers with this as the dual use hop. I use small amounts for lagers (as low as 0.5 oz or as much as 2 oz per 5 gal) and it works well.
I did get some bitterness when I tried an early one 7 days after bottling but that went away within a couple days.
I am not using it in large amounts so don't get any kind of special aromas, which is expected. Just a solid dual use hop for me. I would beware bitterness if adding more. Short boil time, lots added in last 5-15 min only. Until I trust it more.

Dynamite aroma and flavoring hops!
I really liked the aroma and flavor of Calypso, it had become my go to for IPA. Fresh grapefruit aroma, and very drinkable. I used this for aroma and flavor, not for bittering and accomplished what I was looking for. Very pleased!

The best hop ever
This is our favorite hop. Light, fruity, floral, not acidic on the palate. We use it as the flavoring hop in most of our recipes. Great for IPA, wheat, and honey beers.
