Description

This compact filter is designed for the home wine maker who is filtering 5-10 gallons at a time. Perfect for filtering wine concentrate kits. There is a small built in Flojet pump (self-priming, diaphragm pump) that can be used for racking from container to the next by bypassing the filter pads. You will not want to filter wine which contains solids such as stems or oak chips. This will clog the pump and void the warranty.

Takes three pads to load this filter. Does not come with filter pads.

The intake and outtake tubes are 3/8" and the drip tray tube is 1/4".

It's perfect for my small home wine making hobby. I get about 95 lbs of grapes from my backyard, so it will produce about 5 to 6 gallons of wine. I don't need a large pump / filter system, just something for my backyard hobby and should be easy to store. Let's see how it works!

Inline Filter Housing | Enolmatic | Enolmaster
BEST ANSWER: I tried the Buono Vino Mini Jet filter system, but the flat sheet filters don't have much capacity. I have used the Enolmatic Inline filter housing system (2 tandem housings) with spiral filters for filling wine bottles. With a large pore filter followed by a 0.45 micron filter we filled 50 cases of wine without changing filters.
Hello. The mini jet comes with the tubes (in and out)?
Roberto D on May 29, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hello. The minijet does not come with the tubes to get your product in or out. The correct size is 3/8" ID tubing (R320 is our part number). There is also a drain for the drip tray that uses 1/4" ID tubing (D1702).

Sparkling
Ran 10 gallons of wine thru filter #1, then ran the same 10 gallons next thru filter #2... all in less than 2 hours. Worked great...impressed.
OMG. What a great difference in the brilliance of the wine.

Only four stars at his time because I haven’t used it yet. Watched some videos on using it correctly and it appears to do a good job.

Buy one.
Purchased 2 months ago. Makes fast work of transferring wine. Used this morning to filter 15 gallons of reds with the #2 filter. Stellar job. Fast, quiet, and drips a bit but that is why it has a drip tray.. setup is a breeze and cleanup was easy. I love this purchase. You should get one.

Works great!
Used this on two wines so far, the first was an Amarone kit. Used a #2 filter. Wine was clarified already, but filtering it did give it a slightly noticeable polish.
The second was a blueberry wine from fresh fruit. I had already racked the blueberry wine 3 times to help clarify it, and it was about as clarified as possible with racking--there were no large amount of lees any longer. I used a #1 course filter on it. Had great results! The wine came out lighter and even though I used a course filter the wine looked polished. All the flavor was still there, just went from an intensity of a say a cabernet to the intensity of a pinot noir. Was very impressed.
The filtered wine comes out slow enough to stop the motor and move the fill hose to new bottle when the first is full, which is very nice.
The motor is a lot more quiet than I expected. No issues with it as of yet. Overall, very impressive product.

Everything it says it is
It was a rough start - the input port had broken off the filter plate which I attribute to not-very-good manufacturer's packaging of the product. (I think the power supply box bounced around and hit the unprotected protruding port. However the Morewine folks were extraordinary in immediately sending out a complete replacement). After that, however it worked flawlessly in racking 23L of wine using the #2 ("medium") filter pads.

The filter system is very well designed and thought out. It's a quality Flowjet pump that easily self-primes many feet of 3/8" tubing. The filter holder is solidly built, easy to set up and easy to clean. The intake hose which goes into your bucket or carboy cleverly has a stainless steel wire inserted in it to keep it straight so it reaches the bottom. Check out the several videos on YouTube showing how to use it.

Filter pads come in 3 different grades, #1, #2 and #3 with #1 being the highest filtration. For most applications you will use #2. Keep in mind the unit does not ship with filters.

The pump is designed for small scale operations - the user guide mentions that after filtering 5-6 gallons you need to let the pump cool for 45 minutes. Keep that in mind if you're attempting larger volumes.

Overall I'm very impressed and happy with this product.

pretty good, however....
I love how clear it filters however it clogs up before fully filtering a 5 gallon batch when using #3 filters.

Buon Vino Mini Jet
Too early in the game to know if the filtering created the desired effect. I had a problem with secondary fermentation from residual yeast and added sugar, you know like exploding corks. So now I did the fine filtering, hoping to remove any remaining yeast. It has only been a week since I filtered ten gallons of wine. The filtering was very easy, now time will tell if it was effective.
